Tesla wants to replace my Model Y Standard Range battery pack with an LFP pack

One bonus of the lfp is that 100% charging doesn't hurt the battery. Not only will you get 10 miles greater range, you can charge to 100% every day which will get you close to the long range 80% daily charge range. I think this is a win win.

    Condensation in tail lights verdict??

I had this on my rear passenger side starting about a month ago. I found this thread and decided not to pursue it. THEN, the rear passenger light (the portion on the lift gate), stopped working altogether. Service came out and replaced then entire rear passenger side light (liftgate and...

    CCS Adapter Support

It's definitely shortage related. My March 2021 Model Y is enabled.

    Spotted!

I've seen two now in Southern California driving around. Sure look cool in person.

Did I damage my vehicle trying to use this lift puck?

I doubt it will damage it at all. Once you start lifting, the pucks tend to deform quite a bit. The extra bit in the central column will likely compress fairly easy once under the car's weight. Hard to imagine it would damage anything.

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

if you look at the bottom left of your screen under the visualization of the car you will typically see your radio controls. Swipe these controls to the left of the screen and they will be replaced with your trip meter which will show, among other things, your Wh/mi for the current drive and...

    Yet another 2023 Model Y road-trip experience

From the arrival percentages, it seems like you could have saved yourself time by not charging to 98% before you left initially and then not staying so long at the second charger either. Once you're more confident arriving at around 10% you'll see that the car charges faster to get from there...

Will Tesla be adding youtube music anytime soon?

It would be nice too now that podcasts are going to migrate to Youtube music... considering the holiday update is rumored to be adding apple podcasts to our vehicles. We android users/Youtube subscribers exist!

Right rear tire wearing on outside tread

Sounds like you are out of alignment. This is not usually a warranty issue.

    Stop Alert Overfiring

Wow. You all must drive/stop really close to the vehicle ahead if this is happening to you. I've never seen this in the almost 3 years I've had my Model Y. I only see this when parallel parking or when pulling up to a wall for parking. Do they not teach the stopping distance rule any more...

    80% to 100% how long

It will take SIGNIFICANTLY longer to charge from 80-100% than 60-80%. Somewhere after 90% it will drop the amperage down from 48. I've seen it take about 1.5 hours for 90-100% alone. Unless you really need that extra 10%, I wouldn't bother. Whenever I do a road trip where I know I will...

Supercharger - Yermo, CA - Sunrise Canyon Rd (LIVE 25 May 2023, 40 V3 stalls)

I DID check. None of the V3s are/were active last weekend at Baker.

No plug in center console - where is it?

You bought accessories "for black friday" -- which was less than a week ago. But you threw the accessories you bought away "months ago"? Color me confused.

Supercharger - Baker, CA - Expansion

I was through there over Thanksgiving weekend. It DOES say 250kw max and 45 but none of the new V3s were open. The entire back half of the lot (with all the new V3s) was still taped off and non-operational. Both times I was through here over the weekend (going to LV and then returning to CA)...

Supercharger - Yermo, CA - Sunrise Canyon Rd (LIVE 25 May 2023, 40 V3 stalls)

Good to know. I had about 15% when I got to Baker on the way back to CA and didn't want to risk Yermo being offline. True, there's the Eddie World station in Yermo as well but that station is just as slow as Baker and has very few stalls so I opted for Baker.
