How I Recovered Half of my Battery's Lost Capacity

I reported 460km range(estimated when I put the charging bar to 100%). After reading up news and with inputs from the guys from here around last Christmas, I charge the car to 60% instead of 80%. The max range had been increased to 481. It’s still slowly creeping up.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

This graph is exactly what I’m looking for. Looks like there’sa step at 55%. Do you have similar graph extended to higher mileage/life time?

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I usually charge it to 80. It seemed to be the consensus back then that 80 is ideal. Changing it to 65 to 70 from now on.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Hey thanks for all the replies. Should out to all the Ottawa peeps, I’m in Toronto. :) I guess I was expecting 3-4 % based on what I read up before. So I was surprised to see 11-12% after 22000km. As long as is normal it’s fine. Just didn’t want to hurt the battery due to ignorance. And I...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Actually I’ve been following this page as well as the calibration page for a year. 3-4% was my impression tho. Guess I got the wrong impression. Since warranty gets triggered at 30% degradation for 8 years. Even if the degradation is going to level off, I wonder how many people actually get...

460 km at 100%. Which seems quite a bit of degradation. I guess no one else gets degradation like that?

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Ummm I have 22000km on my car. 10% degradation seems high doesn’t it? I thought data from this site shows 3-4 % in the first year and it or els off afterwards?

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I took My 2020 long range to a road trip for 300km, 100% soc to 22% at the end. Mostly at 120km/hr (yup I’m Canadians eh??) So that implies 300/.78 = 384 for the whole 100%. 10oC weather my heater set to 19oC and my guy lol range is 384 km That’s 230miles. I put the aero hub cap in and...

Lane departure warning with attention monitoring

Not sure if you guys noticed. I haven’t got the cabin camera driver monitor update yet but the one departure warning seems to not warn me when I go off the one on purpose while looking at the road. (Trying to show my kids how it beeps me) but when I unintentionally got off the one, it beeps me...

    2020.36 battery drain?

I had that in one of the previous update. it drained for 3-4 days, then stopped doing it on its own. i thought it's the computer configurating and calibrating the settings. not sure, just a guess

    Range displayed at speedometer

Yes, Just worried about degradation And to be fair I do track my mpg at every fill up when I used to drive my gas car. Any implies something in the engine transmission or tires
  13. I

    Range displayed at speedometer

Thanks guys I found it odd that the service person say the rated range at the speedometer depends on driving habits. wondering if there’s updates that change how rated ranges are calculated

    Range displayed at speedometer

Is this correct? This is what Tesla told me
