    Comprehensive USB Bug List

The problem I think is the way Tesla implemented it for USB music. It appeared as though they cached the thumbnails for the entire library permanently. This can easily take up a large amount of storage when a library is large. Earlier, they had tried reading the images on demand too, but that...

Home charging, is it worth it?

I know twenty people have said this already, but it is definitely worth repeating: The convenience and satisfaction of charging at home far outweighs any other option. Also, as has already been said, supercharging all the time isn't good for the battery.

    Non-scheduled, TOU charging, how?

I think the charging features on Tesla do not expect 120V charging as a regular use case. Most 240V charging solutions will likely finish charging within one off-peak slot for most people. It is only 120V charging that is slow enough that a charging session starting at the start of an off-peak...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Eventually you will have an issue, and the service center will blame any and every issue on your old software. :D

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Basically, being an owner since 2013, what I have learned is that a feature (software or hardware) is prioritized and released if and only if Elon personally is excited by it or wants it. A feature that does not excite/interest him personally does not get prioritized. In 2012, he was fascinated...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Does anyone think it could be a deliberate change to delay the multimedia card failures? I remember they had some weird implementation where the album art cache was monotonously growing. Taking away features to save costs is something they have done before. I hope that's not the case here, but...

    Complete Reset after Software Update

I had a similar experience. Got the update-complete notification as usual. Didn't drive for a couple of days, and noticed that the app says the car does not allow remote connections. Went into the car only to notice a bunch of settings have been reset: no driver profile, no Homelink profile...

    Firmware 8.0 - For Classic Model S

The map on the IC (driver's display) also still does a couple of barrel rolls almost every time I stop and go while on nav.

Improving Supercharger Availability $0.40 idle fee

Unless it is a one time message, many will consider it a nag. The screen on my father's car (Honda) shows a message warning that using the screen while driving can be distracting, and can result in accident - every time the car is started. There is an OK button that needs to be pressed before...

CA hov white stickers exp 1/1/19

I am in the same boat. While I understand the idea behind the change - to encourage more EV purchases, I would have handled it differently. When there are too many EVs congesting HOV lanes, I would have increased the HOV lanes. When the 1 HOV out of 4 lanes starts getting congested, I would have...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

I was thinking - may be someone here knows someone who works in Tesla software? Perhaps we can try to push for the basic album categorization fix through them? Don't know if someone has tried this already.

Supercharger - Napa, CA (EXPANDED Jun 2018, 12 V2 stalls)

I believe anyone who tries back in parking for a month will prefer it to back out parking. To me, it is the easier way to park (given the camera - lines or no lines), and it is the easier way to get out.

Here it is the new Tesla Maps ( coming this weekend? )

As far as I can remember, it always said that. The underlying Navigon (or whatever in other regions) brand, and whatever source for traffic was used, was never exposed to us. It always said - Navigation by Tesla on the center console when navigation was running.

Creep on or off and why

I keep creep on, but I do understand the point that one does not want the car to move without any input from the driver. The thing is though, the car may move anyway, if it is on an incline, even if unnoticeable or slight. Because of this, You have to keep the brake pedal pressed anyway (I have...

Creep on or off and why

I feel like unintended acceleration by pressing the wrong pedal during parking maneuver is more probable with creep off, because then you are constantly switching between pedals. With creep on, your foot stays on break pedal only, so unintended acceleration by pressing wrong pedal is less probable.
