Has anyone heard of or made modifications off their stock Model S? I've heard some people have installed parking sensors for example. I know Elon's has wider rear tires.. etc These are minor mods, but has anyone done more extensive modifications to the drive train or UI?

My P85 has this whine as well depending on the draw. If I floor it at 20mph or greater I'll hear it. Well I'm happy to report I finally worked up the courage to try to powerslide my 80kWH performance. It worked! I only tried once, but with traction control off I was able to do a power over initiation into a 90 degree poweslide. Some notes and observations: My Tesla gripped up much more quickly...

You guys say it feels very unsafe and feels out of control but no one has complained about any actual loss of control or pulling out of a lane etc. imo this means the traction control is perfect. It pushes to the edge and that's it. Traction control that doesn't do this will just cut your power...

Did you have the TC on or off? I just got my Model S performance yesterday so gonna set it up for normal things first (bluetooth/homelink etc) but in a day or two I'm going to turn the TC off and try to powerslide it. - - - Updated - - - I assume you had TC turned off?
