Legacy Model S/X with camera upgrade got FSD?

Was your car delivered with HW 2.0 or with 2.5? I’m particularly curious because mine was 2.5 (must’ve been an early batch since it was delivered 11/17). My understanding is that 2.5 doesn’t require camera replacements. I had HW 3 installed last Spring and I’m 99% they didn’t replace my...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

I’m Currently set to have my appointment next week. For some reason I have an $87.50 charge on my estimate. Nothing more.

    Car alarm during update

I just visited my service center (Owings Mills) and they are aware of it. He had no more information but if they’re indeed aware of it then *hopefully* they’ll address it by the next update. I have AP 2.5, MCU 1 and this has happened three times.

    Car alarm during update

This has happened to me with each v10 update. I have an appointment at my local Service Center midweek to (hopefully) fix/improve my intense MCU yellowing. When I get there I’ll mention this new bug — I mean feature — and see if they know anything or have any information. If I learn anything...

Strange Bluetooth issue with phone calls

Bear with me, this will become more relevant even though I’m having a different audio issue with Bluetooth. If tl;dr: then skip towards the bottom where I have some “navigating phone ‘help’” tips that may improve odds of Tesla giving this even slightly more priority. Essentially volume is...

    Supercharger - Annapolis MD

I guess I won’t be getting my hover board before it opens after all. Glad to see it up and running!

FSD Upgrade Price reduced from $5K to $3K in MyTesla Page for Model S

Thanks. I just updated the tag. That’s from Tesla.com, the official site. (Customer Support). The chat prompt opens on the right. I recommend trying it. The more data points the better until the clock runs out tomorrow. Didn’t expect such a forthright answer. Still a little wriggle room but...

    New FSD details

Maybe this helps? I’m still on the fence but the spoiler below is making it easier to make an informed decision.

Price increases 3/18. Will FSD option go up as well?

I remain on the fence but want my decision to be an informed one, whichever way I go. In that spirit I called a few times today, each time being told either it is “software only” or “almost definitely includes” HW 3. I decided to see if a chat on their site would be more helpful. Turns out...

FSD Upgrade Price reduced from $5K to $3K in MyTesla Page for Model S

@kdday, thanks for the above post. It’s helpful. I’m still on the fence. I’m curious (but not critical) of your decision as someone who is weighing and balancing upgrading my 2.5. It sounds like other than flipping the switch, the computer upgrade is where the retrofit stops. It seems...

FSD Upgrade Price reduced from $5K to $3K in MyTesla Page for Model S

Thanks. This is good info. I’m on 2.5 so in my case I believe I’m in good shape for a 3.0 upgrade unless there are further developments between now and the current promised version and timeline of FSD. Mildly disappointed about lack of upgrade to MCU 2 but neither surprised nor upset. Just glad...

FSD Upgrade Price reduced from $5K to $3K in MyTesla Page for Model S

Yeah. I have a 2017 S 75D 2.5, EAP with MCU 1. I’m skeptical about actual FSD but for me $2,000 is worth considering if it’s guaranteed HW 3, MCU 2 and any necessary hardware that will be needed for whatever “FSD” hits the market. Clarity would make this easier but it sure feels like gambling...

    Supercharging Nightmare Begins

I’d say this topic is actually why it’s important for people to back initiatives that make it easier (or even possible) to have apartment buildings, condos, or houses governed by associations retrofitted to meet growing demand. We should also be focused on requiring new structures to be more...
