    Drive Unit CAN harness

An update on the issue - my Tesla is still bricked with the issue - almost 50 days now! Diagnosed high resistance in one of the CAN wires in the rear subframe harness. The harness in stock in Norway did not fit - a month ago. Since then - every around 10 days I'm getting 'the car is under work'...

    Drive Unit CAN harness

Got my Model S bricked for a week (could not change from P and the battery cooling all time on draining 11% daily), just got the news from Tesla - the CAN harness of the rear drive unit needs replacement, and for that the unit needs to be removed, then alignment needed. 1.5k USD... Anyone has...

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

What about getting new Nvidia board and flashing the eMMC before it's corrupt? The board is not custom made but could not find such to buy. Or get a backup of the MCU? Can it be done with a workshop Toolbox access?

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

Hi! Happened to mine S here in Norway, 4 years old and 235k km. Replacing yourself the eMMC is not easy at all and bears the risk to damage more than it is. Tesla checked the logs (online) and told me it happened during FW update. Probably that's the reason replacement was a goodwill from Tesla...

MODEL S COMPUTER WONT BOOT-UPDATE PUSHED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION

The SC diagnosed and informed me they'll replace the MCU at no cost! Available tomorrow, can pick the car on Friday (it's so overloaded here in Norway so they do such unscheduled repairs in overtime). Was a pleasant surprise :) It's not that memory that fails, it's the eMMC. Probably at...

MODEL S COMPUTER WONT BOOT-UPDATE PUSHED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION

Have exactly the same issue on my S the MCU trying to boot. Tesla pre-diagnostics said from the log it seems stuck FW update. The car is now offline and can't even charge. It's well out of warranty so hope we agree on a goodwill or at least a win-win :)

'Tesla shares sink as car deliveries drop'

Yeah, that's a shame to create such an amazing car in every aspect, so brave for it's time and to be failing on such a relatively trivial thing as customer support! In Norway people are usually very patient, but I start to hear so often 'how's the support?' and wondering how Tesla could go so...

'Tesla shares sink as car deliveries drop'

Apart of being an amazing car, Teslas are a great value here in Norway and this is also due to the so many government incentives - no VAT, no duty, driving in the bus lane, to road fees, etc. But it's naive to think a mass production car will increase it's value - it's not a unique thing. And it...

Tesla Service and Repair Information - just a start

Yes, agree! There should be a separate certification for Toolbox only - non-body works. This would be a major issue when cars grow older - Tesla imposes (one way or another) using only new parts, which I understand, but on the other hand there's no good alternative. I'm thinking about such while...

Tesla Service and Repair Information - just a start

Guess the subscription still does not provide Toolbox access? How you guys in US deal with 2nd hand parts - FW deployment; calibration? E.g. to replace a handle that costs $150 second-hand Tesla Service will quote probably above $1000.

'Tesla shares sink as car deliveries drop'

Hello! Excited to join the TMC! I love my Tesla S and so much more about the brand. My service experience here in Norway is least to say disappointing - no replies; different statements; very expensive; months of waiting. And the worst - no service options. Prices here of the S out of warranty...
