EV.Energy app may stop your home charging

I know this is an older threat but I thought I'd share my very similar experience. - Car suddenly stopped charging at home. No matter what time of day, it would shut down after a few minutes. - Tested other mobile chargers -- only at my "home" though -- and they also would not charge. Car...

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

Just doing a quick search on TMC, it looks like there's another example of another 3rd party app disabling charging immediately. So maybe that was my issue, the MCE app. I had deleted this app months ago but maybe it was somehow still accessing my account and stopping charging every time I tried...

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

Wow, I figured this out. Thanks for suggesting software reinstall. I decided to start with the app. I deleted the app from all our phones (had three drivers in house), then reinstalled just on my phone. In the past I had had issues with the app and home charging, start time, departure time, etc...

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

For what it's worth, Tesla service's initial response is it has to do with charge port pins. I'm not sure why that would affect a mobile connector and not DC charging, but they're sending out mobile service and I guess will confirm.

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

It looks like this isn't an uncommon problem, at least by a quick search on these forums. And some people have even been able to get their SCs to repair under battery warranty, although that seems less common. In my case, I have unlimited super charging so I'd think they'd prefer that we get it...

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

Yeah, I just mean the car charges to different levels, usually just a couple of kWh but last night it added 6 kWh. One thing I don't understand is why this wouldn't be covered under the battery warranty. Isn't this part of the battery system?

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

Got it. I'm confused because sometimes it goes a little longer and sometimes shorter. Last night it added 6kWh before stopping. But maybe the onboard charger can partially function. I'll take it in and see what they say.

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

It usually works for a few minutes before stopping. Do you think this is still an issue with the onboard charger? Maybe I have to take it in.

Model 3 won't charge with mobile connectors

I have a late 2018 Model 3 Performance. It won't charge from a mobile connector but works fine at Super Chargers. I've tested with other mobile connectors, and none work. I've also confirmed that my mobile connector with the same outlet works fine with other Teslas, just not mine. Does anyone...

V11 model Y - how to do display the odometer ?

Tesla, the only car company in the world that doesn’t think distance traveled is an important metric for a device that’s most important purpose is to transport people over some distance. Oh and please bring back Wh/mi. This is more important to me than even speed.

If you get door dinged while sitting in the car...

I was charging at a supercharger and when I went to remove the connector it slipped out of my hand and slammed into my car just below the charging port. Created a nice little dent that looks just like a door ding. I almost kicked my own ass but didn’t want the situation to escalate so walked away.

Official Thread: Cybertruck (Cybrtrk) Event - Nov 21, 2019

I admit, I ordered. I'll take the functionality and price even if the design is a little geometric. My first thought was Aztec failure but the Aztec was also a crappy car whereas the features and performance of this will surpass anything currently available or in development. This will be...

Window damaged trim because of cold weather, Tesla won't replace under warranty

To me this should be covered. I’d try them again, maybe try to get another tech or service member to help. I had stress cracks in my rear glass panel and they first tried to suggest replacement wasn’t covered because I tinted windows and/or may have been caused by rock (even though cracks were...

    Non-existent Customer Service

I completely agree. I have a Model 3 Performance Plus and I've been driving around with two fairly large stress fractures in my rear glass panel for more than three months now with no ETA whatsoever on when it can be fixed (along with two false starts). And of course it's been nine months with...

Replacing Rear Glass after Stress Crack Formed

I noticed the stress cracks in mine on the lower left side about a month ago. I took it in and they said it was warranty covered. I scheduled an appointment and took it in again, only to be told they had no glass inventory and did not have an ETA for when it would be ready. They said it could...
