Holy Moly! I ride around that area every so often and knew they were doing construction there but had no idea what it was until I rode by today and noticed they were superchargers! A lot of them and just about a block away from my house. I live in the neighborhood just south of there.

I had my 2015 Model S AP1 car upgraded to MCU2 a little over 2 weeks ago and the UI performance improvements from 1 to 2 are amazing! I did not opt-in for the $500 FM option as I never use it. Was listening to ABC News until that died a slow death into nothingness due to ABC licensing issues...

According to this, LiveXLive (i.e. Slacker) appears to be aware of the problem, but no word of anything on it yet. :(

Having the same problem here. Haven't really been on TMC for such a long time, but did so just to say that I'm having the same problem with ABC News (repeats of old news)

I'm working on my own personal alexa service to control my car. I noticed the API allows you to open the trunk. Is there a method to close the trunk?

It's a couple extra cameras and replacing the Mobileye chip with the much more expensive nVidia PX2 unit, which, I'm quite sure, costs more than the extra cameras themselves.

I want to thank the OP, @Ingineer, for bringing this out to the forefront and forcing Tesla to do the right thing. Without @Ingineer's notice, we would have been left in the dark about what really was going on!

Hmm... I wonder if that's a firmware change to remove the dangerous behavior or just a documentation change mentioning the bad behavior. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the update @wk057

You are making guesses as to why they have made changes like it was a secret conspiracy between Tesla and NHTSA to keep AP 1.0 alive without any real facts. What we do know is these changes that have been put in place seems unsafe with an increased chance of getting rear-ended as it slows the...

If if was driven by NHTSA, Tesla should at least tell their customers and not surprise us with a feature and safety regression. At least give us the ability to turn off "stupid" with such caveats. It erodes trust in a company that plays those kind of games with our cars.
