I wonder if that is just talk from Renault or whether they will actually stand behind what they say and make available newer higher capacity batteries as and when the technology becomes available at this price level....

They're all old posts where as the info on their website is the latest and the UK site indicates a range of 100 miles NEDC COMBINED. Your article links indicate that last year Renault engineers were hoping to increase the range by up to 40%...great if they could...I suppose we just wait and see...

That is a shame...I was hoping for a little bump in range...maybe taking the NEDC to 125 miles (which would have given us a more usable real world range).

Actually the following pdf (which I found on the Renault News thread - thanks TEG) says that the Zoe will be a 2nd generation "specific EV" and not an "electrified version of ICE models" like the Fluence. http://vppc2010.univ-lille1.fr/uploads/PDF/VPPC-10-Pres-Keynote-Perrin.pdf

I know it's still only a concept but the following Auto Express article states that the "batteries are hidden inside the chassis" and the supplied picture of the boot also shows no obvious loss of space to the battery packs. Could this mean that the Zoe is not an adaption of a future...
