The default for me has always been with the car pointed up at the road ahead also up (I assume this is "destination up").. the map rotates as I drive. I haven't done anything to make this the default.. I wonder if the setting is saved with the driver profile?

From what I have read. Although that used to work all the time, it only works on newer cars (software?) if the 12V battery is dead. If the 12v battery is good, it doesn't work anymore.
