    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Double yes. Great interview with Elon on D11 yesterday btw. I'd hate to be his head of Comms though.

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

I'm not a fan of it used in isolation, but I think this is actually quite a good time to complement a solid understanding of the fundamentals (which, unlike lots of so-called experts, most of us on here actually have) with technical analysis, which is basically just visualizing and attempting to...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Yep - the tool gives a target price range of $127-$136, based on the start of the pattern at around $60, the Pennant in the mid-$90's, so a mast height of around $35 or so. What do you think - do you guys agree?

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

FWIW, I was at a Schwab technical seminar last week, and as we looked at the TSLA chart with the ex-trader giving the class, he identified a Pennant pattern that was starting to form. The Schwab charting tool is now showing this as a confirmed bullish trend with a short-term target price range...

A Theory on this Week's Announcement

I agree. I've had a picture in my mind's eye since the infamous Broder weekend, of Elon, JB, & Co. getting together around a white board in their war room to brainstorm how to address all the major objections and negative perceptions in preparation for the scaling up of the operations. I believe...

A Theory on this Week's Announcement

Awesome call! Wow, what a totally awesome call, Citizen-T! You're the man. Your logic was right on the money. I'm almost as amazed at your reading of the tea leaves as I am that Elon and team were able to pull this off so fast and manage it so well.

    Elon’s 5 part Trilogy

Restaurant at the End of the Universe = partnership with MCD or SBUX to accelerate rollout of charging network = putting money where his mouth is.

Tesla to make "exciting announcement on Thursday" (correction Tuesday)

ElSupreme, good insight, and I agree that signing the agreement doesn't mean the equipment is going to be available immediately, but at least it's a start, and my understanding is that one of the main holdups with the current SC rollout is the real estate negotiation one site at a time.

Tesla to make "exciting announcement on Thursday" (correction Tuesday)

Yep, exactly. I think this is the only one that really works. There are lots of other good ideas here, but they all have too many reasons why they don't fit with this announcement. For example, acceleration of GenIII just isn't going to happen. Leasing, while important at some point, would just...

Tesla to make "exciting announcement on Thursday" (correction Tuesday)

ADN_ModelS - I'm with you: it's most likely a partnership with either McD or (preferably, from a brand point of view) SBUX to expand the charging network quickly without needing to negotiate one site at a time. Superchargers on highways, regular HPWC's in town, captive audience for the...

Tesla to make "exciting announcement on Thursday" (correction Tuesday)

Elon just tweeted: "Today's Tesla announcement is actually the 2nd in a 5 part trilogy (love Douglas Adams)".

Recreating the NY Times Road Trip - Feb 15-17, 2013

I'm game too. We'd need to pick a day with similarly cold temperatures, or the skeptics would claim it wasn't valid.

NYT article: Stalled on the EV Highway

Forbes article Good comment Grendal. Similar vested interest from the Forbes reporter IMHO, rather than trying to protect the other reporter. Anyway, I added my own comment too.
