Ouch! I agree. while the charging stations look complete not having a connection from the power company isn't good. In some cases, that's taken quite a while to be completed. Let's up that's not the case here.

Coming thru here on the 1st of August. Any chance of a progress report and the likelihood this SC will be open by then?

Great photos and great progress! Looks like it's almost ready to go. What does the surrounding area look like? Is there anything close for snacks, bathroom breaks, dining?

Would love to know the progress on this supercharger. I'll be coming through on 8/2 and would like to use this to be able to skip Chattanooga on my way to the Dulles Airport area.

For what it's worth the Southern Company is moving in the direction of Solar and is involved in a new community close to Ross Bridge to be powered by Solar energy by way of a Solar farm near the subdivision (I'm told ground will break in June this year.) That said, as a local, it's convenient...

    Supercharger - Athens, AL

In Birmingham you can buy a cup of coffee and get your ticket validated. Not a big deal IMO. On the other hand, having a charger in Athens is great. We go to Muscle Shoals often have gone on the Franklin then back to Muscle Shoals and plugged into the 110's at the conference center across...

    Supercharger - Birmingham, AL

When I was there Sunday, one of the waitresses told me "it's not much" explaining that she had forgotten her parking pass and had to pay a couple of bucks for all day.

The Charging station is in the lot behind Mugs. When on Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd, turn right into the entrance to the Westin Hotel and keep going past the hotel to the first street on the right (Octane Coffee is on the right corner.) turn right and it is in the parking lot on the left (in...

As JohnGratcliff stated, looks pretty much done except for the transformer. Was there later this afternoon and made an observation. the supercharger is in a metered parking lot without an attendant that is very convenient to a number of dining options as well as Octane Coffee that will...

    Supercharger - Birmingham, AL

"The route is "doable" as it is but it definitely isn't what I'd call "comfortably doable" for a few reasons: 1) Make a single detour in an S60 and your screwed. 2) The Chattanooga supercharger lacks amenities. 3) There isn't a single fast charger between Birmingham and Chattanooga" I've been...

    Supercharger - Birmingham, AL

And now home to a really nice area, part of the revitalization of Downtown Birmingham. Also very near the BJCC, The Sheraton Hotel and several excellent restaurants, both upscale and happening' places, as well as lots of parking and easy access off I-20. Now, if the rest of the state will jump...

    Supercharger - Birmingham, AL

Good news! Uptown is a nice area though not sure how convenient to all the interchanges it is. Still not certain it's an area where you want to charge very late at night though the rest of the time it's well lighted, lots of eating options ,and well patrolled. For those of you who are curious...
