My Model X Front Driver-side Tire has a huge BUBBLE in the side-wall. Have owned for a bit over a year. Called Tesla and was told they provide NO WARRANTEE for Tires EITHER NEW OR REPLACEMENTS!!!! No ROAD HAZARD, mileage, NOTHING!!! So, not only is there no incentive to get your Tires...
This is going to be a recurring problem I think. A few HOURS after someone notices a new thing to buy on TESLA store for the Model 3 and GONE! Out of Stock! I think that means that Model 3's are being delivered... ;-)
I haven't seen anyone mention this issue. Probably a bit uncommon but a real pain!
We have a Sig MS, Sig MX and now Model 3! Two homes (not rich, just recently married and haven't joined households yet) with different manufacturer of Garage Door openers.
Prior to Model 3 joining the family...
The X and S ARE being built on the same line. When we picked up our X at the Fremont factory, we got a tour including manufacturing line. Literally, about every 5th car was an X and there were both Left and Right-hand drive Model S's being built. Very impressive.
mine is a Sig X received on 15 Jan 2016 and has ~3000 miles at this point. I would describe a "problem" as something requiring a piece of HW to be exchanged... In our case, one of the original keys was DOA and has been replaced. No other physical changes have been required. We HAVE RECEIVED...
As a piece of Historic reference, I received my Sig Model S on 2 November 2012. At that time there were 5 SC stations with about 40 chargers TOTAL; and, all in Cali! Today, there are 609 SC Stations around the world with 3574 chargers! What a difference 3 and a half years make!!!
I know...
I don't know about the previous 2016 map but today's looks like they are planning to almost double SC's this year (in the US). Does that match what you see?
it has always been the case that running completely out of juice was a very bad thing. I thought Tesla added functionality to protect the battery rather than bricking the car. I've not heard of AAA or any service being able to "emergency charge" the main batteries but that would be great news...
Here are a few Tesla moments for your enjoyment:
Jennifer was charging at the Fremont Supercharger as a bunch of Chinese business types were coming on from a factory tour. One gentleman asked if he could ask a few questions about the Signature Model X she was charging...an hour later this guy...
although it looks good, it doesn't work at all if you have a typical phone case. I was also concerned that it would be pretty easy to break so removed the connector. Since there are two of us who drive it and we have different styles of phone cases, that's been the best move! Note that you...
So, maybe something changed when I wasn't looking?!
My Sig Model S has AM/FM/XM Satelite BUT, My Sig Model X ONLY has FM/XM Satelite!!! Has AM radio been removed from currently produced Model S's?
Stopped by the Fremont SC and they confirmed "not a bug", AM radio is not supported on Model...
Some follow-up about the Model X vs Model S... Both of ours are Signature versions so early manufacturing.
Observations so far:
1. I can't believe that anyone would have the "need" for Ludicrous mode on the Model X! The Model X - P90D is SCARY fast in INSANE mode already. Acceleration...
Today we picked up our Model X Sig, ... VIN 0049x, P90D, NO Ludicrous, Winter treatment, Pearl White/Black interior with Burl wood trim. Took the Factory Tour, we recommend it highly. A Pleasure to see actual manufacturing in operation!
Jennifer was the hit of the evening showing off her...
I was hoping the Black would have Red Piping ala Model S Sig. Guess not. Wish they had dark Grey but not. Oh well, Black it is! I had White once...then my 2 year old found a RED ball point pen!
I am also on the fence concerning P85DX (or whatever it will be designated as). I am a SigS and now a SigX as well. For my SigS I picked the P85 at 4.2sec 0-60. That is PLENTY of pickup for me and everyone who has ridden in my vehicle. I have driven a P85D (only Insane mode) which is almost...
