    success on battery recalibration

Hey, After reading some posts that explained how recalibration actually works, I decided to give it a try. In essence, the idea is that when SoC is above 85%, the computer will try to discharge VERY SLOWLY the cells that are overloaded. This will, in turn allow, for a better overall charge of...

Battery Management System - What I Learned At Tesla Service Center

reading your post. Very good info. Regarding the balancing procedure, it says it's able to correct 1mV difference per day of balancing... do you have any idea of the order of magnitude these imbalances can be? By the sound of it, it would seem as if it may take weeks of the car to be idle to...

TeslaFi - Battery Degradation Reports (upload your data)

Excellent idea! Would it be possible to filter based on car model?

TeslaFi - Battery Degradation Reports (upload your data)

I charge on my heated garage up to 90% and leave it plugged in. for daily use rarelly goes below 30%. I do a road trip twice a week that requires supercharging from 20% to 60%. I did notice that the range estimate gets a bit crazy when I supercharge at subzero tempratures compared to a more...

TeslaFi - Battery Degradation Reports (upload your data)

Me too. Unfortunately, according to the SC, the displayed range has nothing to do with temperature or driving habits, just the multiplication of EPA rating * available capacity in KW also, it's on the Tesla support page: Frequently Asked Questions Why is my displayed estimated range decreasing...

TeslaFi - Battery Degradation Reports (upload your data)

I have a june/2019 build and my graphic looks like yours, my range is down to 219 miles. Temperature has nothing to do with the range estimation provided by the car, the battery is just degrading "normally" according to the SC. What you see is the car doing EPA estimate * usable battery capacity...

battery degradation threshold for warranty: 70% of what?

update: got an answer from the service center: my car throretical maximum capacity was and is always going to be 380km Cars from nov 2019 onwards have had their motors changed and the new ones are more efficient, not going to happen to mine So, as of now, I have 6% degradation after 6 months...

Well, I think this settles the question then :(

battery degradation threshold for warranty: 70% of what?

Thanks foir the analysis. I have used other means to estimate the battery capacity, and I reach the same conslussion as you: my cars has between 49 and 50Kwh of battery capacity as of now: TeslaMate shows, for each supercharging session, the start SoC, end SoC and KWh charged to the battery...
