No not all. 40 on the top works just fine and 70 on the windshield I barely even notice now. But the heat rejection on the tints have been really effective so for me its worth it. The amount of heat i was getting prior to the tints and now are night and day.

the rear window tints are fine. I think 40 is the perfect amount of darkness. At night I dont have any issues seeing out of the sides or through the back.
