Any problems with Sentry SSD plugged into the glove box USB port?

Please excuse me for latching on to this thread for a related question. I have been using a Kingston 120 GB SSD and it's now full and won't record anything more. I can not figure out how to erase content to have an empty disc. Anyone know? (on an iMac) Thanks! addendum: I figured it out...

    Mud flaps

BigTuna00 I share your opinion. No bueno! Honestly, I don't think the shape of the M3 wheel wells is suited for mud flaps 2b substantially effective. Bummer.

    Mud flaps

On the Shop-Tesla page, regarding M3 mudflaps: "4x front mud flaps, 2 sets in two different sizes" Not sure what this means. Only front flaps and no rears? And, are the two front sets of different lengths, shorter and longer? Whoever has bought a set, could you tell me what you were sent...

Supercharging Disabled while on trip [Resolved]

Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Turned out I needed to update cc because card on file w/Tesla had expired. Supercharger allowed me to charge prior to updating card (only tried 1 time). Be that as it may, what you describe is scary as hell for all of us on the road, far from home...

    Online store

So, I eventually did receive Tesla's email for the return. More importantly, I found a better option to gather the charging cable, for less than 1/2 the price. Take a look here.

    Online store

Has anyone returned an item ordered online from the Tesla store? I bought a cable organizer for my garage wall. It is small and I am unhappy with it. Submitted an online return request (successfully). Web page said "Return Request Submitted" and "Return instructions and shipping label have...

12 volt battery going, going, gone

Interesting about the potential software update. Thanks for that information. Interesting note though... I watched a YouTube video of how a 9v radio battery can pop open the frunk of a M3 (which gives access to the 12v for replacement). Of course, this will only be helpful if your car dies in...

12 volt battery going, going, gone

My friends with Model S get warnings before their 12v dies. Does the M3 give a warning? I have searched YouTube and Google to see a photo of what a warning looks like, but there's nothing! Has anyone had their 12v battery die (were you stranded?) and did your car give a warning first? Jeff

    Tesla Official Statement on Range

If I remember the center screen correctly, when charging isn't there an option to limit the incoming kilowatts when charging? Why not set it to whatever makes you comfortable?

    Car wash?

Sherlo, thanks! Hey, one follow question. Do you think there's a concern for curb rash? I've noticed the metal rim sticks out a wee bit beyond the rubber tire.

    Car wash?

Winter in the upper midwest means dried salt on the body paint. Not fun hand washing in freezing temps. Is there any danger to using a commercial car wash? I am not referring to paint or finish damage. How about the battery receiving a drenching of high pressure water.

Mud flaps color matched for M3

It would be nice to color match mud flaps for the model 3. This is the only seller I can find that does this. Unfortunately, the bad reviews for their product are horrible enough I'm staying away. Hard to believe there are no other sellers, but if there are, I can't find them. Do you know of...

Does leaving just the pigtail plugged in use electricity?

It's not the consumption that concerns me, rather, I want to do what's best for the battery. Is the battery "happiest" when it is run down to 20%, charged to 80% and plugged in to the UMC every night for necessary consumption? Not that I can accomplish this, just trying to understand ideal...

Does leaving just the pigtail plugged in use electricity?

OP... I agree with M3BlueGeorgia.. trivial, if any cost/flow of energy. I have an unrelated question. Tesla recommends, in cold weather driving, to always leave the car plugged in when not in use. They don't say to always "charge" the car when not in use. So, does the battery draw a small...

Problems with new Tesla in the Snow

Hand warmers can be helpful to thaw a charge port. I read a post from a guy who got his port door to open, then couldn't get electricity to flow due to an inability to make a connection from ice in the charge port. He activated a hand warmer and stuffed it into the charging receptacle (making...
