I also had a good day Saturday in Dedham. I arrived at 9:30AM, I had my paperwork signed by 10:10, and they told me my car was on the truck from RI and was 20 min away. They said I should be ready to take it home in two hours, so I went home, had some lunch, came back around 1:30 and drove off...

I got the call yesterday that my car may not be in Dedham for my 9:30AM appt on Saturday. They still want me to come in and fill out paperwork to at least get my car registered, and potentially get a home delivery on Sunday or Monday. I begrudgingly agreed to go down Sat AM and hope for the best.

That's odd, as at least 3 of us on this thread are taking delivery the morning of 11/17.

They originally had me scheduled for the 15th, but I moved it to the 17th at 9:30AM

I don't believe lack of insurance info holds up your order prior to receiving a VIN. At least that is what a Tesla phone rep told me. I don't currently own a car, so I have no insurance policy, and can't really get a new policy, until I have a VIN.

Do we think NOT filling out the insurance tab on the "Prepare for Delivery" has any bearing on slowing down the process ? I currently don't have a car, therefore no current insurance provider.

Thanks for all the input. As luck would have it an electrician finally returned my call and will be over this week to take a look. He tells me that he's getting tons of calls for EV chargers, and had more questions for me, than I had for him (regarding EV's not electrical work)
