24.6.11 HD Audio Playback via USB Stick - Loading Error FLAC

Correction... it's the bit rate rather than the khz that's triggering the bug. 24/44.1 plays fine, 24/96 does not play. AND STILL NOT FIXED!

24.6.11 HD Audio Playback via USB Stick - Loading Error FLAC

I've just gotten my second software update since this bug started appearing and it's still there. Every 16 bit flac plays just fine, every 24 bit flac has the loading error. Cmon people. Is this part of the worldwide conspiracy to get people to stop owning their media and stream everything?

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Latest update has definitely changed the sort order logic again... near as I can tell, everything is sorted alphabetically by system FILENAME, rather than metadata now? Is this consistent with what others are seeing?

Supercharger - East Brunswick, NJ - State Route 18

Negative... though I can confirm they painted the parking lines.

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

y Right, if you have your albums sorted that way, then they'll play as sequenced on the album - so the new logic will work for you very well. That method of sorting never appealed to me, though. The best thing about digital music is that you can organize your music any way you want to, and...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Ugh. So it turns out that files within folders, ALL folders, are now sorted by track numbers. But it doesn't pay attention to disc numbers, so if you've got a double album in one folder then it will play track 1 from both discs before moving on to track 2. Dumb! And it doesn't discriminate...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Okay, this is a great improvement *if* it's smart enough to recognize a folder as containing only tracks from a single album - saves me the *very* onerous effort of having to add track numbers to the name metadata. But not so great if it's doing this to every folder. What is the new logic...

New software, new bugs and new stupid "features"

Anyone figured out yet what the new logic is behind the alphabetization (or lack thereof) in the USB audio view? My folders are showing up in what appears to be a random order.

Model S - V9 software downgrade, not what I purchased.

Came here hoping that this wasn't the situation and that someone knew of some easy fix to get the screen display back to the way I like it. Dammit. My standard config was the rear camera on top and the media player on the bottom. I only rarely use the Nav. Now I can't see the camera and media at...

Model S 85 software enabled 0-60 speed increase?

Just heard about this in the Tesla August newsletter which says - "new Model S and Model X 75 kWh vehicles received an over-the-air software update and now have improved performance, with the ability to accelerate from zero to 60 mph one second faster." Am I right that the upgrade does NOT...

High Fidelity sound system new Model S - worth it?

Bluetooth applies lossy compression to the audio signal. When that compression is applied to a source like mp3 that's already been compressed the results aren't pretty. Put direct CD rips or FLACs on your USB - or better yet 24 bit high-def FLACs - and you will be blown away by the sound.

Creating playlist for USB with FLAC?

I have been using the Genre tag as a playlist kludge.

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

The new software update seems to have changed the logic for displaying album art somewhat. I've been playing around with two different USB sticks and here's what I *think* the logic is w/r/t the art and some of the metadata fields: - "Album" metadata is now necessary to display the cover art...

    Slow HPWC - any ideas?

    Yeah, it's a 50 amp breaker.

    Slow HPWC - any ideas?

HMM. That's what I was afraid of. The charging app is showing this: "12 mi/hr 248 V 16/32 A" (with the 16 in white and the 32 greyed out)
