I can see your point. The whole software update of cars is so new, which makes it interesting times. It’s one thing to have to adapt to a new interface on a phone/mobile device; quite a different thing if it’s a car and your life depends on it. I wonder if Tesla factors in people change...

While the update has clearly had a ‘hey, who moved my cheese’ effect on people, I wonder if the update isn’t a set up for something down the road like perhaps more things available at our fingertips hence a need to consolidate space. Change is hard, but trying to have an open mind.

Uh, I’d rather just not use AP/FSD anywhere a car may turning left (or right for that matter) into my path... Which is like..what is it...driving a regular driver driven car? Don’t get me wrong I love AP on highways, but in the city...NFW.

We have a semi autonomous Mercedes that never does this kind of bsh!t...we’ve had it randomly throw us a collision alert when nothing was there (and almost stop my heart), but never just flat out slam on the brakes almost giving us whiplash!

But don’t planes operate on radar and can anticipate multi directional objects nearby and speed these are traveling? Obviously not a physicist...

Why can’t autopilot determine that a car turning left 50 ft in front of me (across my course of travel) is actually moving OUT of my course of travel at a rate that will ensure the M3 won’t hit it? We’ve had the M3 slam on the brakes when there is no way we would ever hit the vehicle turning to...
