Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

Two more replacements for me. Driver side failed a couple of weeks ago and now the passenger one is out too. So that makes 6 or 7 for me. Both covered under parts warranty. Tesla tech indicated there is no new revision so I expect to be replacing them again in a year or so. Can’t believe they...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

I read on here somewhere that the issue is not the light but the tube that the light is shining through; something about the tube prematurely breaking down. I mentioned this to the service guy and he seemed to indicate that was correct FWIW.

DIY: Troubleshoot "dead" horn on 2014 pre-facelift model S

My horn stopped working last week after slowing dying for a few weeks prior. The horn tone kept getting weaker and weaker. I thought it was my imagination at first but then one day last week I tried to beep someone sitting at a green light and... nothing. The horn did come back a few days later...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

They might good-will a replacement for you since you're not that far out of warranty. That's what they did for one of my replacements. Also note, all parts have (I think) a one year warranty so even if the car is out of warranty if you get a replacement part it itself has a warranty. My most...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

Noticed yesterday that the DRL on the headlight they replaced in June has now "burned out." Scheduled a service appointment for next week. That's #4 for me.

Anyone have experience with Bridgestone Quiettrack tires

I put a set of these on yesterday to replace my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s and recorded a before and after (same road, same weather conditions and speed (45mph)). These recordings were made on my phone, holding my hand in roughly the same spot for both recordings, but, obviously not at all a...

    Model S EZ Pass placement

If I remember I'll take a picture, but, for now here is a more detailed explanation: MS Refresh/Removed Front Plate/E-ZPass & Sunpass I have a NYS EZ-Pass and a 2016 Model S and it works 100% of the time in and out of NY, NYC, NJ, CT, MA, etc.

Fixing Holes in Nosecone from License Plate Frame

I've used Bumper Plugs on my previous cars. Cheap and effective: BumperPlugs for Tesla

    Model S EZ Pass placement

The trick is that you have to mount it upside down, i.e., so the E-Z Pass lettering is upside down. Someone on here took one apart and found that the transmitter is on the right side (when right side up).

Creak from Vent Trim -- Possible fix?

I have a similar issue but I wouldn't call it a creak, more like a vibration or rattle. I originally thought it was the fan going but then I moved the vent louvers as you did and it goes away.

    Coil suspension getting harsher?

Yeah, my tires are currently at 5/32, so, I'll be replacing them soon (going to try the new Bridgestone QuietTracks). I'll ask the service center to specifically check those components when I bring the car in for the tire change and see what they say. Fingers crossed.

    Coil suspension getting harsher?

It might be my imagination (or the fact that I'm getting older), but, I swear that my ride is getting firmer with time. So much so that I've started to cringe when I go over even the smallest imperfections on the road. I currently have 67k miles on my 2016 Model S RWD. I mentioned it to the...

Anyone have experience with Bridgestone Quiettrack tires

I'm planning on getting these in the fall. What little I've found review-wise has been positive. Plus an 80k mile warranty?!

    Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+

I have these on my 19" wheels. After about 18k miles they are at 5/32 (so almost time to change them). My car is RWD, however, so your mileage may vary (literally). Didn't really notice any change in noise, but, they might be a little less energy efficient if that matters to you as they are not...
