I just installed mine in my car last MXP last week. I thought the same, but figured worst case scenario is replacing that trim in the future if I ever needed it. My wife has the fattest phone case that the ProClip mount holds nicely..

I just saw this post and realized mine didn't have them either. Realized that the box in the bottom of the trunk was what that was. It looks better without it, but I wonder if it improves range at all with it on?

Hi All, Went from an older Model S 90D to a Model X Plaid a month ago. Ordered it on a Friday and picked it up a week later. After I picked it up, I brought it straight to get PPF'd and ceramic coated. My installer mentioned how the trunk panel wasn't straight and one of the FWD was rubbing...

Same here as well.. my kid keeps complaining it's hot in the back...
