    Supercharger - Pecos, TX

If Pecos is active, somebody better tell Tesla. They've moved the opening date back to 2019!

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Update: made it from Trinidad, CO to Amarillo with 31 miles left on my P85. The Amarillo to Denton leg brought me in with 23 miles left on the battery. Kept it under 62 mph the whole way, with low winds. If they can land a Supercharger at Wichita Falls and another one in Clayton, NM the trip...

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Opportunity to visit a relative who always has a million questions about my Tesla. :)

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

I have a 2014 P85 with 21" wheels. Range on the battery now is about 254, running level at 65 mph. I think Kansas -> Nebraska -> Denver is my route for the time being.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

I keep checking this thread to see if there's any progress, but I guess not. Headed to Denver from Ft. Worth in mid-August, and I guess we'll have to take the route up through Kansas and across Nebraska because I don't want to be sweating 287 to Childress. :(

Gen1 vs Gen2 roof rack mounts

It's a 2014 P85. I'm told the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 is that the hinges for the mount covers are on the outboard side of the roof, and the Gen 2 are on the inboard side.

Gen1 vs Gen2 roof rack mounts

When getting a minor repair done on a sunroof gasket, the technician told me I had Gen 1 roof rack mounts, and they could swap them out for Gen2 roof racks - - which involved pulling down the headliner and detaching the Gen 1 mounts. I didn't like the idea of moving the headliner around and as I...

    2017.48 a774ed8 is released

I updated to 2017.48 a774ed8, but it's the same "Easy entry for drivers" release note that was on the previous update. "Starting in this release, you can get in and out of the driver's seat more easily. When you park, the steering wheel and drier's seat will automatically adjust for an easier...

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Is five business days to diagnose a "low coolant" alert a typical timespan for Service Centers? I'm new at this, but when I keep getting the same response ("we're working on diagnosing the problem, check back tomorrow") it's not very reassuring.

Why are Tesla owners afraid of non-Tesla dealers

I spent months looking at prices on AutoTrader and other sites, carefully trying to spot cars that were probably just off-lease and under 50,000 miles. Two weeks ago, I found a 2014 Model S P85 with 43,000 miles on it. The car's previous owner was Tesla, which meant it was a lease car sold at...

Non-CPO, Tesla app, and Service Center service

Unfortunately the temporary registration is the paper temp tag. It doesn't have anyone's name on it. I have a bill of sale made out to me, I have an Allstate Texas insurance card, and a Texas vehicle inspection report. Only the insurance card has my name and address on it, and they told me...

Non-CPO, Tesla app, and Service Center service

Howdy folks, I bought a non-CPO 2014 S P85 in Indiana from a dealer (auctioned after lease, clean CarFax) with 43,000 miles on it last week. Drove from Indiana to Texas just fine. Today, there was a brief "Low Coolant - Contact Tesla Service" warning message on my dashboard that disappeared...
