Fed up taking my VW Touareg whenever I want to transport bikes. have an M3P so tow bar mount not an option and a rear mount tailgate rack will destroy boot spoiler in seconds.... so looks like roof bars are the only option anyone any experience with the taptes ones, look considerably cheaper...

Just to update, having had my vanity mirror break due to the design fault. I ultimately had it replaced by Tesla as a goodwill gesture.

Autoglass in Gloucester, fitted a replacement rear screen to my M3P a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant service, clearly knew what they were doing, better aligned than the original!

Just realised what the plastic film that covers so many bits of the car on delivery is for. Mistakenly I had assumed it was just a lack of pdi and preparation. I was wrong it is actually a very sophisticated lamination system, so glad I left mine in place ;)
