Is it time to cancel my power wall?

They were only suppose to link up one AC due to the surge if there's a black out. Two units would have been too much. They did add an 80A overcurrent protector to prevent the surge in my situation. In New York we do get crazy weather in the summer and towards the beginning of fall, good to...

Is it time to cancel my power wall?

Finally after 4 months of wait, two PW installed but not turned on since electric company didn't unlock the meter box. Took about 8 hours and the tech tried to convince me to not back up one of my AC unit. I guess more work for him but I made sure that he did since it was part of the plan...

    Powerwall 2 "waiting list"

I was told that the PW can't be placed in a "living space" due to the risk of explosions. I don't know if that's a policy that is strongly enforced.

    Powerwall 2 "waiting list"

Is the space "living space"? Since the initial request of the PWs for my basement I had three kids, put them through college and updated my basement into "living space". Will they still install the PWs in that space? It will be in a closet where my electric panels are kept. I made the closet...

    Powerwall 2 "waiting list"

Reserved my PW2 in March and then canceled in August since hurricane season was approaching and I didn't hear back from Tesla. After finding out that my electric company will have to dug and install a new gas line for a Generac, I placed another reservation with Tesla. Less than 48 hours later...

Electricians in Westchester NY? Con Edison home charging incentives?

The only credit I got was the federal credit up to $1,000 for the install. You can sign up for smart charge rewards which will give you $25 a month during peak months (summer) to charge during non-peak hours. You will have to install their monitoring device in your M3, not hard at all with my MX.

    Nail in tire

Lucky you! I've had three tire changes in one year, in the same tire location. One was a road haz and the other two were side impact, all in the right rear. Apparently as told by my service tech, the car is very heavy so I should avoid stress on the side walls of the tire when parallel...

    Model X Glass Roof Crack

I have USAA. Windshields goes thru a third-party vendor SafeLite and that's what they told me on the phone. Calling them today for payment and see what payment I get.

    Model X Glass Roof Crack

I went to a Tesla SC to replace the windshield since no other place would replace them. The SC also mentioned that they don't handle insurance claims. I had to pay Tesla the full amount and now I'm waiting to see what the insurance company pays me. I was surprised by the amount of shards, I...

    Model X Glass Roof Crack

I think it was whatever. Insurance only paid $675 of the total amount. I had to pay the rest out of pocket. Should have checked what the payout was before selecting insurance for a car with the most expensive windshield.

    Model X Glass Roof Crack

Also got hit by a rock or flying debris. $1,400 to replace the whole windshield. Worst thing was that there was flying glass debris in the car. Fortunately none went into my eyes while I was driving.
