    Actually, there is an extremely simple alternative to this (took a while to figure out): 1) make sure the car is unlocked 2) press the release lever on the non-Tesla standard charger (the one needing the adaptor) without pulling it out of the vehicle.     I'd be happy to drive your P85+ and shoot for a new production EV track record. The current record is 1:50.883 set by a Tesla Roadster 1.5 in 2011. I'll be there to try to beat that on Sunday with another 1.5 Roadster, but would love to see how the P85+ compares. - Joe
