It hasn’t happened to me
Everything about the product has me delighted
The only issue I ran into was I struggled to make the old dustcovers work. I came up with a solution but it’s kind of 1/2 assed
It involved tie wraps and styrofoam 😂
I wondered the same thing when I was installing. I have heard many conflicting things. Some people say the bump stop is internal and built into the shock. Others say despite this you still need the bump stop. I left mine in place and overall I am happier than a pig in *sugar* over the new ride...
I am ready to buy shocks I just don’t know if I should buy the Koni yellows or the tein endurapro plus. I think koni has a better reputation as a quality product but the tein shocks seem to be very popular so it’s a tough decision
What’s a shame is I think only one person has tried the koni yellows. I wish we had some more testimonials. It seems like the special active red ones are a big disappointment
not to derail the thread, but the original post intrigued me. The car was a 2023 model y, correct? Isn’t that supposed to have the new comfort suspension everyone is raving about? Why switch to the Teins shocks If you already have the new suspension?
This has happened to me before. The cameras see one thing and react to it. And sometimes they call it wrong. All you have to do is override the steering. It doesn’t take that much effort. if it makes you feel any better, I’ve had some of these safeties systems in my other car make mistakes also.
I found them!
Hankook
Ventus S1 evo3 EV (K127E) 255/45R19
Available online at simple tire. I had them delivered and mounted and am very pleased with them
I don't think the Hankooks that Tesla mounts on the European market model Y are available in the US. Has anyone been able to find them in the US market?
the way range is calculated in the i3 is totally different than how tesla does it. The i3 does an estimate based on your driving habits
so if you drive like a bat out of hell its not uncommon to see your range drop by 10-15 miles all of a sudden.
