How to override scheduled charging and charge now?

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! That was it. I didn't remember that the wall connector had that capability. I must have set it while experimenting when I first got it. I do think that Tesla could give a better error message when this happens.

How to override scheduled charging and charge now?

No, it is well below the charge limit. And I have tried several times, so it isn't a one time glitch. Here is the screen with the start charging button. When I touch the button, nothing happens. But when I exit the car, it shows a big charging screen that says charging stopped.

How to override scheduled charging and charge now?

I get the same result if I hit start charging on the car screen. It doesn't appear to do anything and then says charging stopped.

How to override scheduled charging and charge now?

Is that the only way? That risks me forgetting to turn it on when finished. Also what is the purpose of the start charging button in the app?

How to override scheduled charging and charge now?

Newish owner here. For home charging, how do I override the scheduled charging and start charging now? I try hitting "start charging" in the app. It quickly says charging stopped. And I don't see anything in the car controls that would let me start charging now.

Tesla provided rear door PPF - air bubble with dust - fix myself?

I picked up my brand new Model Y and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had front mudflaps and rear door PPF installed. I'w getting ready to DIY ceramic and noticed a small bubble and I think a particle of dust or something near the top edge. See pic. Is fixing it something I can do...

Top 3-5 things to look for during delivery...

Every other new car I purchased (at least a dozen for me and family), I had the opportunity to test drive it before purchasing and a decent amount of time looking it over inside and out. I wasn't looking for things like minor misaligned panels or tiny paint imperfections, Almost every car has...

Discussion: Model Y General Waiting room for orders placed After January 2023

Yes, the Oregon tax credit may not happen, but there is a chance if I take delivery by April 30. Because it may not happen, I am not willing to spend more money on stuff I don't want just for the hope that I will qualify for the credit. But I don't understand how widening my search could...

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

It is imprecise to use the word "owe" here. Your statement sounds definitive, but is actually ambiguous. Define "owe."

Discussion: Model Y General Waiting room for orders placed After January 2023

I had a MYLR ordered in the configuration I wanted. There is an April 30 deadline for a state rebate and there was no way my car would be here in April. I saw a MYAWD in inventory, so I converted to that car on April 14, thinking I would get it in April. I just got the schedule delivery for...

Discussion: Model Y General Waiting room for orders placed After January 2023

I picked a close match from Portland inventory on 4/7 and I have an estimated delivery 4/28 - 5/2, so I've got fingers crossed. Tesla has done a lot of things that "didn't work that way" until Tesla decided to do it, so I'm sure they could do it if they wanted to. I accept, though, that they...

Discussion: Model Y General Waiting room for orders placed After January 2023

Are they really not in transit? I would have thought they were in transit or just about to be loaded on a truck. If they are still at the factory, they should be able to give more choice at each delivery location. When I look at inventory for Portland Oregon, I see zero cars. But Seattle has...

    19" vs. 20" wheels/tires -- comfort difference?

Would it be a good strategy to use a lower pressure when driving around town for tire longevity and then a higher pressure on road trips for longer range?

19 inch vs 20 inch wheels ride quality

$500 each or $500 for four? The first seems high and the second seems low.
