Firsthand comparison from an owner of both, between the Rivian SUV and Tesla Model X. The only EV 7-seater SUV's available.

The value held up well given that I got the Model X before the prices went up a couple years ago. I did not lose any money and made about 10K. This is partly due to the fact that used car prices of all brands went up a lot in the last few months and are going down now. By the time you get to...

2019 Model X Standard Range - Worth it in 2022?

Finally, made the decision to sell my 2019 MX SR :-(. My RIvian is the darling of the family now and the kids, wife love the R1S ride comfort compared to the Model X. Visiting a few dealers this week due to the freezing weather last week.

Firsthand comparison from an owner of both, between the Rivian SUV and Tesla Model X. The only EV 7-seater SUV's available.

For me personally, compared to my Model S and my Model X, the Rivian seats are such a blessing ! The sporty ride of the Model X (Raven adaptive suspension) and the smooth ride of the Rivian probably play into the seats, ride comfort as well. The post-pandemic work situation has tilted me...

Firsthand comparison from an owner of both, between the Rivian SUV and Tesla Model X. The only EV 7-seater SUV's available.

I am comparing it to my 2019 MX and doing an apple to apple comparison based on the alternating drives we have been doing as a family. I have a Rivian SC near me in Seattle and they are opening a couple more. With the prices for Model X going skywards after the refresh and not a lot of comfort...

Firsthand comparison from an owner of both, between the Rivian SUV and Tesla Model X. The only EV 7-seater SUV's available.

I am selling my Model X as the family loves the R1S. R1S ride comfort is way better than the Model X. Long trips are more enjoyable compared to the Model . Tesla scores on the autopilot tech. That was the main reason why bought a Tesla. The Rivian ADAS is better than most legacy automakers that...

Going from 2022.20.8 to 2022.24.5 – radar removal or not?

@T.R.T.e.s.l.a. - I hope you hold-out as long as you can. If ever you go to the service center, tell them specifically that you do not want a software upgrade. The autopilot is OK but it gives off when the visibility is not so good. It is foggy most days here in Seattle this time of the year...

Going from 2022.20.8 to 2022.24.5 – radar removal or not?

You are right. It is always cumulative and that is why I held out. They carried out the update without my permission. I could fight it out with the service center but it will get ugly. I got a new Rivian R1S at home & I am loving it so I am anyway inclined to sell my Model X. Not worth the...

Going from 2022.20.8 to 2022.24.5 – radar removal or not?

With the update that the SC carried out, many cumulative ones have been applied. Just noticed today that I cannot reduce the car length to 1 while using autopilot. I was able to do that until I went to the SC. Now the minimum is 2. It's possible that radar was disabled in 20.9 but since I was...

Going from 2022.20.8 to 2022.24.5 – radar removal or not?

For a long time, I was refusing the updates and was stuck at 20.9. Last week had to take the car to SC for a windshield replacement and they ended up updating it to 44.2. I looked at all the release notes. I do not see a 'You are on Tesla vision' message. There is one release which says that the...

Cyberstream wheels on previous gen Model X

No, that's not mandatory. I got the black version coz the wheels are black and I didn't want the silver colored valve.

Cyberstream wheels on previous gen Model X

I have been using an independent alignment workshop to get my alignment done. Since I have installed the N2uitive kit to lower the suspension, my alignment is a custom alignment. If you are using stock settings on your vehicle, the SC will do the alignment as per their stock settings. If you...

Cyberstream wheels on previous gen Model X

@rajbsn - Sorry for the delay. I haven't noticed any significant difference in the gap. From my initial pictures when Tesla had the car on sale. I am uploading a few pictures for reference. The one with the silver wheel is Tesla's original picture. You can see that the arms are so close to the...
