TesSense - Control your Tesla charging from your Sense Energy Monitor

The address already in use error seems to have been related to a python process ID. I entered a ps -a command and it appears I had multiple old TesSense threads running. To kill the old processes I entered "kill -9 (process ID#)" one by one. Now that all of the other processes have been killed...

TesSense - Control your Tesla charging from your Sense Energy Monitor

Despite my best efforts I wasn't able to figure out how to prevent the 8am failure. I've "phoned a friend" so there might be a solution coming. I changed logging to INFO and this is what it outputs on startup * The car was actually away from home in this instance. If it was home it charges as...

TesSense - Control your Tesla charging from your Sense Energy Monitor

My poor coding skills are in full effect. I tried commenting out the entire CheckTPLink() section as well as the tp_task = CheckTPLink() line, although the script failed to run after the edits. I can't seem to find a "controllist =" line. Did you mean "tasks = controller.tasks"? Or maybe...

TesSense - Control your Tesla charging from your Sense Energy Monitor

I think the issue was I didn't have the TP-Link integration enabled. It is now so we'll see if Sense receives charging data this afternoon. In San Diego we have non-reimbursable charges as part of NEM, so any "pull" from the grid results in a small charge ($0.03 to $0.04/kwh) that can't be...

TesSense - Control your Tesla charging from your Sense Energy Monitor

I just got this working for me. Thank you so much!!!! I've been wanting to have our car soak up the extra juice for years. I have very poor skills with code, but I was able to get it running after a couple attempts. I haven't seen it report charge usage data to Sense yet though. Not sure if it...

WTB Tan Next Gen Seats - San Diego Area

I'm looking for a set of Tan Next Gen seats without movable headrests, in good condition. I've reached out to Henry to be put on the waiting list for the next time he has a set, but if someone else has a good set they want to sell please let me know. It would be great if the seats are in...

Parting out Tesla Model S's 2012-2016

Hi Henry. When you get another set of tan next gen seats (without movable headrest) in good condition, I'll be interested. I live in Carlsbad so picking them up shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Adding Next Gen seats to an older S

Glad to hear your seat upgrade went well. I'm planning on doing the same for a recently purchased 2013 P85+ . I'm hoping Henry will come across another low mileage set of tan next gen seats. He's only 45 minutes away. I wonder if the two seats will fit in the back or if I'll need to borrow a truck.
