I need to know about your rattles....

I have a Sept 2018 build non-P AWD and I encountered all three of them, with #3 being most prominent. Since I have 2 car seats at the back, I have not tried folding down my back seats. #2 was fixed by Tesla with this note. Hope this helps: Concern: Customer: Vehicle noisy while driving - noise...

New regular AP as upgrade for older Model 3s?

I don't have EAP. My account now shows $4000 for the new AP and $7000 for FSD. In my car, Order Now bottom under Autopilot menu now shows a QR code to Tesla.com, saying we recently updated our autopilot packages.

Model 3 Motors on the Tesla Parts Catalog

I couldn't get a photo either, but here are the info I saw: (Late) Sept 2018 AWD VIN 87xxx: Blank plate Inverter: -20-E

Is There a Definitive Answer? 20" Sport Wheel Includes Rear Upper Fore Links / Control Arms

For the part catalog, the diff is 40mm vs 35mm. WHEEL, 20X8.5J ET40, SPORT - SILVER (1234222-00-A, 18" and 19" wheels are ET40 too) PERF WHEEL, 20X8.5J ET35, SPORT - SILVER (1234227-00-D) So technically the wheels are not compatible even if they fit.

Is There a Definitive Answer? 20" Sport Wheel Includes Rear Upper Fore Links / Control Arms

The offset would still need to be different between performance brake version and regular brake version. This is likely why they still says it's not compatible.

Model 3 Performance in China has a new 19 inch wheel design

Indeed this looks like an aero cover. I think it is quite possible that this 19" aero wheel will come to US in 2019. For 2018, Tesla already sold enough P3D- that they can use its EPA rating for P3D+ too and forcing the performance option on everyone. Since they want the bigger brake to be...

A little confused about what features are not included

Someone made a video illustrating how CC without EAP works:

A little confused about what features are not included

You get Teslacam without EAP. You also have dumb Cruise Control by fully moving the drive lever down. The dumb CC is never mentioned in the manual.

All LR motors are the same- MR one is NOT

The liftgate glass (rear window I believe) also have two versions with Dec 17, 2017 cut off date, which is surprising because I expect another part number after August 2018, with different IR coating.

Is it me or does the model 3 has tighter tuning ratio

In additional to the long wheel base, you also sit closer to the front wheels in a Model 3 since the "engine" bay is shorter than other sports sedens.

Steering response: 2017 LR versus 2018 Perf

Ingineerix, a Tesla hacker, looked into battery management system of a RWD in March. He claimed that RWD has an 800A capacity inverter, whereas AWD is 500A (front) + 500A (back). Presumably Performance is 500A (front) + 800A (back). These numbers are highly plausible, as they match the power...
