What would you do with this tree?

It's definitely close enough to the house that I would be concerned about the roots causing foundation issues. That + the shading is reason enough imo for it to go bye bye. Do you have other palms on the property? I agree with what MJ said, remove it and plant a new palm in a different location...

Do you need fire suppression for 3x Powerwalls in Northern California?

Here in Hawaii, well Oahu at least, bollards are a requirement for garage PW installs. Source: I have/had 2 in my garage. AMA. Lol. I removed them within minutes of the DPP inspector walking off of the property. My toddler thought they were cool though. ;)

My 11.2kW Tesla Solar Project - Portland, OR

My chart appears to be pretty sensitive. I can turn on/off various small appliances and/or ceiling fans and notice the difference in power flow. That's great that they reached out to you after the review. I got the email for the review but am waiting till PTO to fill it out. It'll be a mixed...

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

Brutal. Are they going to compensate you for the MASSIVE delay/delays? You should raise hell if you're not already. Costing you money by the day. Unacceptable.

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

Solid green light means panels are producing solar, so that’s good. Hope they can figure it out tomorrow.

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

WTF man, if it worked during commissioning, then what the heck happened between then and now? I’m not sure I’d trust them for anything right now. The green light on the inverter, is it solid, blinking, or off? If you’ve downloaded the SolarEdge SetApp and set up an account, you can find out for...

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

Hmm, yeah that sounds fishy since neither I nor fstop have PTO yet are getting solar production in the app(as you’re aware). So what exactly is Tesla saying, they can’t “turn on” solar production in the app until HECO issues the “official” PTO or whatever they call it? What a *sugar* show. On...

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

It does. It also showed solar production when they(installers) had the temporary meter head while commissioning the Gateway & Powerwalls.

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

Same here. I thought getting the app working and verifying that everything is displayed properly is part of the commissioning process?

    Choice of inverter

I meant to bold the “more often than not” part. The “recent” may hold water as well though. Idk. In my experience, I see/hear probably 5 to 1(or more) SE vs Delta, but I’m only one person, so maybe a YMMV added onto the previous post would have been good.

SolarEdge Generation Monitoring - hardwired (ethernet) network connection

That’s great news for solar only installs.

    Choice of inverter

7.14kw + 2 PW’s. Have a SE6000 + 21 optimizers. Have the option to upgrade to a SE7600(long story and info can be found in another thread). No choice in SE vs Delta was given(would have chosen SE anyway). I think you’ll find, that more often than not, recent solar and/or solar + PW installs will...

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

Just thought of this, but I’ve also heard of people having to contact Tesla after PTO to get the app to work correctly, possibly something they need to activate or sync on their end.

    Powerwall 2 Installs in Hawaii

The 2nd meter is a requirement of the CGS+ program. Casper did you get your solar reporting in the app yet? If not you can download the SolarEdge SetApp and diagnose.

    SE Inverter question/option

Sorry reading out of order. Both models in question are the H models. Unfortunaly I have zero room for more panels, hence having to downgrade from 8.16kw to 7.14kw due to lack of roof space.
