So in the last weeks i've noticed that on many drives the grey wheel symbol which represents when you can engage autopilot is often missing or will flash available for a second then disappear again. This seems to happen more at the beginning of a drive and/or on surface streets vs larger...

How/where do you report them? I think i tried this a couple years ago after someone did it a few times in quite intentional fashion but the website didn't seem to work anymore. Didn't really pursue it much further than that though, they'll get caught by a cop eventually as these folks cant help...

Yea i didn't say there were, the point is that in applications where the bolt falling out has large consequences its quite normal to use secondary retention and in this case it should almost certainly be threadlocker/a patched one-time use bolt.

Even the best bolts loosen under repeated vibration, in very important applications you typically have a secondary form of retention like a threadlocker or mechanical means of capturing/preventing back off (i.e safety wire) if really important. The design of this joint seems questionable with...

Oh this same thing happened to me, but I had aftermarket coilovers so couldn't really blame Tesla for that one. Let us know how it gets fixed, mine required replacing the entire front sub-frame and Tesla didn't even want to perform the work so i had to go to a 3rd party shop - wasn't very fun...

Looks like they are replacing the oil pump too, wonder if they will try to say that this isn't covered under the drivetrain warranty They are - $105 for the pump and $15 for the filter, guess oil is on the house

Wow, yea that's the entire motor/gearbox assembly. Let us know what they say for warranty and see if you can get more info about what triggers that alert specifically

Whoa that's interesting, sorry to hear that high of a quote. Did they mention what work they needed to perform? I would imagine this is covered by the drivetrain warranty, did they say it wasn't?

My coilover was blown and needed to be rebuild, it's currently at UP going through that though this reminds me I need to check in on them as it's been a while! I'm back to riding on stock shocks and springs and the car is silent again. What's crazy is that i've had a bit of a clunk for ages...
