Guesses on "token of appreciation" for line waiters tweeted by Elon Musk

If my memory serves me. Early Model S orders had to pay $2k for free supercharging for life. That is what I call a deal... J/k

About to pull the trigger, but need some quick advice, 85 or P85?

Quick update. Typing this while I wait on my super charge to finish. Picked up the car on 8 JUL. Waiting on two parts, but I needed a car, so they offered me the choice of a rental or take the car and come back when the parts arrive at the SC. Easy choice... LOVE THIS P85!!!!

    Model S depreciation

I'm curious, how much did they offer? Vs How much you paid? As for the depreciation, when doing the calculation first you have to subtract any delivery fee and federal/state EV incentives that were available from the price that you paid. Once you have that number, most car brands will...

    Used Model 3 market

I'll add my 2 cents into this. Having just ordered a 2013 CPO P85 (VIN 14xxx) for $43,000. Hope to take delivery next month. I'd have loved to get AP1, but the cheapest I've seen is $56,500 S85 (didn't last long), my plan is to drive this well optioned P85 for the next 2 to 3 years, trade it in...

About to pull the trigger, but need some quick advice, 85 or P85?

Yes, 2 year warranty and the remaining time on the 8 year battery/drive train warranty. I used to own a Ford Focus EV and have experienced how little generally goes wrong in an EV. So this should be interesting to compare the ownership experience.

Thanks for the help. I just put my deposit down on the P85. Hopefully in a month or two, I'll be picking it up at the Atlanta service center. I'll add updates to this thread, as this process goes along.

About to pull the trigger, but need some quick advice, 85 or P85?

I'm looking at two different Model S cars on the CPO site. One is a 85, the other is a P85 Both are the same year, about the same miles, the 85 has twin charge, while the P85 has the carbon fiber spoiler, but other than that it is the same options. The P85 is $2,000 more than the 85. I'm sure...
