Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control not working

TLSSC worked for me impressively for many weeks - until it didn't. One day, with TACC on, I realized it was going to barrel right through the first intersection I came to. On that drive and later drives It continued to miss lights and signs. I just drove manually for a few days but finally...

NoA is worthless, Autopilot is essentially unimproved from 2016-2017, and everybody has caught up.

Agree with the ambiguous benefits of Tesla autopilot, and the dubious quality of Tesla mapping. I was surprised when we rented a Toyota last year that the lane keeping feature, hands-off around curves, functioned as well as or better than our M3. Of course, traffic adjusted cruise control has...

    Winter Tire question

Paid $243 for the Blizzaks, and yes they're a little softer on dry pavement. Noise, acceleration, and efficiency don't seem considerations to me in winter driving. But I don't commute distances like some might.

    Winter Tire question

I grew up in northern MT, so see snow tires as essential. Omaha streets are intermittently clear and most cars here don't bother. Good idea shopping early, because you may have difficulty finding tires. Last winter, a good Omaha chain could not find any in the original 235/40 R19, neither could...

What's the most surprising thing you've found once you got your Tesla?

Really resonating with many of the posts above. My first surprises: 1. The lack of an introductory drive at pickup. "Here it is. 'Bye." 2. The compact, tight handling sensation. 3. Road noise. 4. No spare, and no jack! And no self-reliance alternative. Had to buy Tesla's flat fix kit as an...

Trunk unlocks perfectly but doors not so much-Is this a clue?

My Samsung S9 worked well for the doors the first 3 months, but 3-4 times in the past 6 weeks it has failed to open the doors. Tonight that happened for a brief few moments; then when I got in, it would not shift into Drive. I thought I was stuck with a dead car. I hit the app's padlock icon...

    A cautionary autopilot video

Thank you for not hitting a person, not only for their sake and for yours, but for the reputation and advancement of autonomous vehicles. Had you been unfortunate enough to seriously or fatally injure that person, we’d have all learned of it through the news.

How's your ride handling the winter?

I'm not impressed yet by our M3 AWD's performance. With 19s and the original tires, I found the car sliding on a slightly icy curve at 20 mph, very disconcerting as my other cars haven't done that. After a long search for either Blizzak or Michelin snows in a suitable size, and a long wait for...

Who’s waiting for EAP HW3 before buying?

As far as waiting, you bet. We got our M3 in Nov., no EAP or FSD, and we probably won't get those features or another Tesla until/unless they're fully functional, laws and roads are compatible, pricing is more reasonable, there's abundant competition to compare to, upgrades are plug-and-play...

Auto steer Not ready for prime time

RE: traffic adaptive cruise control - others have mentioned its availability on other makes. I just want to add Subaru's EyeSight to that list, comes with the premium trim lines. We got it on a 2018 Impreza, which cost half our Model 3's price. Being retired and not driving much, I found TACC to...

How to fix your USB-C connector so it connects to your phone all the time

Sorry for duplicate images. I'm a newbie here.

How to fix your USB-C connector so it connects to your phone all the time

My phone case is not thin, so a little raising of the connector isn't a sure fix. Also, the case thickness makes it fit unreasonably tight against the rubber pad. A simple realignment of the cable finally g ave me a sufficient fix. I just lifted the connector and the last few inches of cable...
