Hey Kevin I saw your old post regarding spray paint your wheel cap. I am planning to do so as well and am wondering if you need to sand the cap before putting primer and paint on it?

I would sand it first. I think it helped with primer adherence. If you have the newer caps and if they are plastic, you might want to apply an adhesion promoter as well. They've held up very nicely over the past winters (they are my winter wheels).

Yes I think I have the newer caps since I just took delivery last month. I am planning to put red on the "T" logo to match with my X. Do you know where I can find the paint that can match the tesla red?

Sorry - I don't know. But, I believe it is Pantone 186 UP from memory.
