    Model X front end creaking

Mine is on its second such failure. Even if you fix it once it keep rehappening every 20-30k miles.

need a Lemon Law Attorney please!

I've got a Dec 18 currently in the shop for failed upper control arms. Shop diagnosed it before they even saw it, saying that failure on that part is common on the Model X between 20k and 50k miles. IMO that's not an okay design to have a critical suspension part failing consistently every few...

    MCU2 - Retrofit

These guys (Unplugged Performance | Leader in Premium Upgrades for Tesla Vehicles) quoted me $2200 for the MCU2 retrofit, including parts. Said they'd need Tesla to enable the software on the device after the swap.

Most tempting feature with the model update

In order: 1. MCU2: I have an MCU1 + AP 2.5 and I'm worried about getting software cut off at some point soon 2. Improved suspension: Model X rides a bit stiff for a luxury SUV. Hoping new stuff is smoother 3. No shudder: Been an issue since day 1. Would be nice to be shudder-free.

    Software downgraded test drive model?

I purchased a slightly used Model X 100D from the dealer that had been a test drive mule for a couple months (3000 miles). I’m wondering, aren’t all test drive models P models, to show off ludicrous speed? If so, is it possible they did just a software downgrade to sell me the vehicle at a...

    Acceleration Shudder

Glad to see it’s not just me. Late 2017 100D, definitely shuddering under hard accel. Figured it was a chassis issue, but sounds like something else. Don’t use hard accel that often, but car feels unstable when I do, which is a bummer.

    Fixing/Changing Seat Ergonomics

Upholstery guy said putting in a correct fixed low-back lumbar was feasible ($500). Said thigh extension is definitely needed and nearly impossible.

How well does Autopilot work compared to the competition?

I drove a handful of driver assistance vehicles before buying my Tesla. To be honest, I wasn't that stoked about buying a Tesla, but the way the system worked for my commute won me over. My commute is a 90-minute mix of 2-lane roads and 6-lane highway, with plenty of curvy roads and mostly...

    Fixing/Changing Seat Ergonomics

I'm guessing you had the headrest all the way up? The talked about adding or removing cushioning in key places. I'm curious to see how the discussions go in person.

    Fixing/Changing Seat Ergonomics

Forgot to mention, commute is ~90 minutes each way, so while I *love* the car, I've gotta do something about the seats.

    Fixing/Changing Seat Ergonomics

So, there's no two ways around it, my Model X seats are not great. I've been in touch with a couple of local upholstery shops to see if it's possible to change the lumbar support and extend the seat base for better thigh support, and maybe look at any other issues. Curious if anyone else has...

Knee pain, need to buffer/remove center console

This makes sense. I'm tall and wide (6'2, 300) and agree about most center consoles. I ended up nearly all the way back, which worked a bit better, but made the screen a bit tougher to reach. The console does feel like it's not holding a whole lot and it could go. That could really help open...

Knee pain, need to buffer/remove center console

Picked up the X today, did a 3 hour drive home. Amazing drive, but couldn't ever find a good resting spot for the right leg/knee. I'm a wide dude with a wide stance. Sitting too close and my knee was hitting screen, too far back and it was resting on the hard console. Ideal solution may be to...
