Finished up my DIY Ceramic Coating

Most of the best detailers can get it only that far. You probably have 2 or 3 spots that are just a little deep for the R.O.P. alone. Some 2000 wet/ dry sand paper is in order for these difficult scratches. Take a little at a time and don't hurry. Adam has a tutorial on this process as well...

Finished up my DIY Ceramic Coating

Awesome job. Adam Pitale would be quite proud.;) There's nothing like the satisfaction of doing a great job and stepping back for that Ahhh moment. I've been a big fan of Adam's products and work culture. Every employee I've ever spoken with loves their job and specifically working for him. Also...

    Umm...I don't think so.

It sounds like the dealer wants to get their hands on some real performance cars. I've had the displeasure of having to drive a Lexyota loaner. POS that got 14 MPG no matter what. Sneaky bastards  :p

    Snippiness 2.0

Wow. You should talk about something you know about. I've been using RA's for 35+ years and never had any of the problems you describe. The emblem is embossed, it'll never wear off and only idiots mount to the metal edge. The plastic is identical. 7K mis. and no paint wear and... Rattles...

    Mudflaps

Get Rally Armour. They are the best for the money, no questions. I don't know what some of these "experts" are talking about but these were less than $40 shipped. Several other threads dealt with this subject and I was surprised how many people came around in the end to Rally Armour. Yeah you...

Windshield sunshade needed after ceramic tinted windshield?

I also had my windshield done with LLumar clear ceramic that boasts 48% heat reduction and 99% UV protection. Since UV does the most degradation of materials, I don't worry about it too much. I do, though, garage my 3 so it doesn't spend a lot of time cooking in the San Diego sun. Heat build up...

light hearted request... your car name? - and why

Atles. But... I thought about "Jim". Then I could tell everyone I go to the Jim every day. :p

How are people using their Tesla for watersport gear (surfing, kayak, etc)?

WOW. Yeah, that's living la vida Tesla... Y Loca!

How are people using their Tesla for watersport gear (surfing, kayak, etc)?

According to the manual, just turning off the blue tooth on the phone should do it. I've never tried it, but I can't open the car unless the BT is on.

POLL: Aero Wheels - On or Off

Like Birdman325 I take them off for city and short trip driving. In busy parking lots it's too easy for thieves to just pop them off and go. Yeah there's Sentry and going to the cops... Hassle! For long drives those Aeros are a nice advantage against drag at highway speed. I actually flip...

What do you use to clean the inside of your windows

While watching the installation of my LLumar Pinnacle tint, the guys used towels on the dash and spray bottles with soapy water and synthetic clay bars inside the windshield to remove the clingons. They remarked that it had to be perfect before laying down the windshield clear film. I now use...

Emulate Engine Noise - Agree or Disagree?

O Oh hell yeah, now we're talking! LMAO! Imagine that on the stereo full blast. Cars anywhere near you will need to clean out their drawers.

Any way to know if I'm getting a loaner from the service center?

Hey brother. You will get a loaner since you ID'ed a problem with initial delivery quality. This is per the contract and they may issue you a loaner thru Enterprise with whom Tesla has an agreement. Another thread a while ago brought it to my attention. Initially I thought all loaners would be...

What's Your Favorite Ceramic-Infused Spray Sealant?

Like Joebruin77 said, the cost breaks fairly evenly. Yes, initial cost is more. My Adam's Ceramic Coating was $80. It is enough to coat my car 3 times. Each treatment will last for a year or longer. One bottle of ceramic Boost has already lasted me over 2 years. Even if garaged, wax needs to be...

What's Your Favorite Ceramic-Infused Spray Sealant?

I'm glad you did, tfraley! It made me look into the matter and I went to the horses mouth. This is from a tech at Adam's Polishes, Xpel did try and did successfully "mimick" Adam's original Ceramic Boost formula which was white. Adam's has since improved their formula which is now the blueish...
