I can only hope it's software and not a duct issue. The later would require getting into the dash. Software is annoying, may not get fixed, but at least there is an easier chance of repairs/fix.

I may have found the cause of random black screens on my 2 month old Model S, thanks to Tesla engineering. My thumb drive for sentry mode was formatted in exFAT. Not sure how/why since it was formatted by car. After pulling the thumb drive, no new black screens in 10 days. Who would have thought...
