It varies a great deal, but it is 'free' money and adds up. I switched to IB for their loan program during the Solar City merger when the lending rates were much higher (maybe coming back?) & IB had cheaper trades than where I was at (etrade). (It is annualized -- calc'd per day (weekends count))

Last week IB has been lending out my shares at 2.63% & I've been getting 1.32%.

I think the issue was/is with Yahoo; there was a big, big time lag this morning (and seems to have it still) & with the stocks going everywhere it is quite noticeable. Google Finance did/does not have this lag.
