POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

I just have to ask once again. Does the vibration go away if you drive and trigger it actively for 5-10 minutes? Maybe a different issue, but on my 2019 Raven the vibration goes away after 5-10 minutes of triggering it. Very strange, but it is very smooth after it has been «warmed up».

Could someone post the part numbers of the current half shafts ?

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

After upgrading to 2023.2.11, my 2019 Model S Raven w/bulletin fix seems to have less vibration. It’s pretty cold today (~5C), so I should have felt more vibration. Very strange.. way too early to conclude, though. Need to do more testing, but if it continues to perform like this in even colder...

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

I have the same impression. Definitely gets worse in low temperatures. Here on Norway it is around 0C now and I feel the vibration every day.

Service Bulletin out on Hard Acceleration "Shudder"

Please let us know if/when you get the new Plaid vibration. I got that after I had mine 2019 Raven fixed. It is a vibration that is always there in the speed range 40-60 mph.

"Refreshed" Model S model VIBRATION tracking and information thread!!!

Alternatively, install lowering links from n2itive adjusted to -5 (20 mm). Maybe also install their products to adjust the rear camber. Seems like their products are top notch!

I will ask Tesla to lower the suspension 20mm and replace the half shafts in April. They have lowered it before, so I know that is possible.

Can someone with a Plaid or LR check the part numbers of the half shafts? Would like to confirm they are the same as the ones I have on my Raven.

Yes, under hard acceleration it seems to blend with the general shaking of the car.

It starts in that range. I can feel the vibration all the way up to ~65 mph, especially when going uphill.

How can you be so sure? It has the exact same symptoms as described for the refresh and I have had the bulletin SB-21-39-001 done. I have the following halfshafts: 1626636-00-A 1626638-00-A It was after this SB I got the vibration.

I have this vibration issue on my Model S Raven and I’m evaluating trading it in for a Model Y. It’s that bad. The Model Y is smooth like silk compared to mine. I am located in Norway, so need to make a decision quick wrt new taxes.

I have a 2019 Raven Model S and started to notice this vibration some time after the shudder service bulletin. They changed the halfshafts and repositioned the clevis mount. The original shudder is gone, but this vibration is worse in a way because I feel it a lot during normal driving. On my...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Short update here. The hum is definitely still there. On my car, it seems to vary a bit how noticable it is. I think its more noticable when the car is cold. Just tried another set of wheels (19 inch) to rule that out. Same hum/vibration. When they did the bulletin, I think they moved the...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

This resembles my experience as well. The «hum» is on acceleration and most noticable on good road conditions?
