    Model x repainted classic brown.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get root access so I can change the colors on the displays to reflect the brown? Diagnostics cable and other stuff is no problem. Linux workings is fine. Please send a pm.

    Model x repainted classic brown.

Someone keyed the entire car so it needed a full repaint anyway - and they offered to change the color for the same price since it would require the same amount of work to get it flawless.

    Model x repainted classic brown.

Yes. Struggling with the forum giving error messages on the phone claiming pictures are too large for the server. More coming!

    X with 21" staggered from Model S

Hi! Does the staggered 21s from Model S work for the X - and have anyone found any tires with the right dimensions and load index to be compatible with an X? The X has wider tires, but the difference isn't so large that it'll look weird in my opinion. 265 vs 275 rear and 245 vs 265 front...

Let the hacking begin... (Model S parts on the bench)

I have a daily and yearly subscription available. Not able to download and use toolbox. To enable the Ethernet port for Toolbox use you also need to enter a code in another application that is generated on the site. This is not available on the regular daily and yearly subscriptions either...

qwk: How did you figure out 4.15/4.16? Last time i checked the BMS and battery banks of my old S85 at 100% SOC it clearly said 4.2V.

Im just catching up on this after the holidays - so much awesome stuff happened in the meantime - and nice to see another player on board. Need another one, just pitch me a PM. On the other side. Thought Id share how the rear view camera is connected, in case you dont have the schematics.

He used the internal Ethernet port connected a step further back in the system. :)

then that's the code normal techs go on the tesla webpage to generate. they then enter it into an application at command line to enable access to the Ethernet port for use with the diagnostic software on the laptop.

The access codes generated by Tesla for user input in the GUI is 5 signs long, letters and ciphers combined, all lower case. that gives access to the diagnostic screens. Is your longer codes for the developer mode instead?

Just realized yours says Developer mode up top and not diagnostics mode like mine says when accessing the "hidden menu" from the T up top. There are also small differences in what's available to the user in those modes. I don't get CAN, FONTS or DEV NAV... Never dared hitting the factory mode...
