Loss of Traffic Conditions on Map Since V10

Do you have premium connectivity? Perhaps it expired and your connectivity status was updated with V10? Found this on the Tesla FAQ page: Standard Connectivity offers basic maps & navigation, music & media over Bluetooth® and software updates over Wi-Fi. Note: Important safety updates will...

DashCam: ScanDisk SD card now working, TeslaCam folder keeps disappearing

The OP's first drive was recognized immediately, but later corrupted. However, his second drive was not recognized at all. I'm suggesting that the OP leave the second drive plugged in the car for an extended period to see if it eventually gets recognized. This second scenario has happened to...

DashCam: ScanDisk SD card now working, TeslaCam folder keeps disappearing

I've had mixed success with SD cards and flash drives working in my Model 3. I've had expensive (relatively speaking) 128GB Samsung FIT drives die in a few weeks and inexpensive 32GB SD cards continue to work. Some cards that don't work initially start working after being reformatted. Both...

Day Trip charging options in San Diego area?

Beware of the San Clemente supercharger. It's the one we use and it can be expensive. It's located at an outlet mall, and I can never get out of there without the wife shopping and spending money.

Recovering a Corrupted USB Flash Drive

Sorry for the delayed response. Haven't logged in for a while. Both failed USB drives were "FIT" drives. Those are the small form factor USB drives without any sort of mechanical read-only lock. The error message I get when I double-click on the drive is "please insert a disk into USB drive...

Recovering a Corrupted USB Flash Drive

I've had 2 USB flash drives corrupted in my Model 3 running TeslaCam and Sentry Mode. Both were name brand (Samsung and SanDisk) 128GB FIT drives. The drives were formatted in FAT32 and had the TeslaCam folder. The drives worked for a few weeks, then the camera icon completely disappeared (no...

    Supercharger completed notice?

There is a notification setting within the app in addition to the notification settings in the phone OS. Both need to be enabled for notifications to occur. In the app, you can set when you want notifications to occur (charging started, charging completed, etc.). The app settings button is...

    NEMA 14-50 Location

If you decide to leave the outlet by the front of the car, you could add a cable organizer by the back of the car. Coil the charge cable around the organizer. Cable Organizer

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

This is the data this thread has been needing. It shows that the old orange glass and the new non-orange glass are thermally equivalent, validating Tesla's response.

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

GregRF explained it well in post #419. For cars with orange tinted rear glass roof panels, they are orange over the entire surface (both above the rear seats and the back window portion). Tinting the back window area darker to closer match the roof glass will make the orange more visible.

Did you get EAP? Why or why not? (Poll)

I'm one week into my free EAP trial, and am still of the opinion that TACC is the only feature I want. Auto steer and auto lane change are fun to play with. They work remarkably well. Since you still should be in control of your vehicle, they don't really alleviate work from the driver. TACC...

AC drops the rated miles like crazy!

Not surprised by the 13 miles of range lost from running the AC for an hour. I suspect an ICE vehicle would burn a fair amount of gasoline idling for an hour with the AC on.

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

I'm a retired aerospace engineer with some background in this subject. I don't believe you can make any definitive coating conclusions based on the orange tint or lack thereof. For example, orange tinted glass will naturally absorb UV and blue light. That's why blue blocking sunglass lenses...

What benefit does WiFi bring to the Model 3?

Thanks. I guess I'll connect my wifi. I've been holding off on doing so, but resistance is futile. This is true if you aren't grandfathered into or don't pay for Premium LTE. Non-critical OTA software updates will still be available on Premium LTE.

What benefit does WiFi bring to the Model 3?

I thought Tesla uses Google Maps that updates via LTE as you drive around. Granted, Premium LTE is required for traffic information and satellite view maps.
