    Model s for short people

I am 5’2” and have no problems in my S (March 2017). The seat adjusts up and forward so that I am able to have a good view and control even with the large size of the car.

How much paint protection is too much?

I've had my car since March 2017 and got Xpel wrap on the front end, hood, doors, rockers and hatch lip and CQuartz on the entire car. Two days ago, the car in front of me ran over an orange cone on the highway and I ended up running over it with it hitting and scratching my front bumper and...

    Poll - 60 to 75 upgrade

After upgrading to 75, I called my detailers to de-badge my car. It took 15 mins. The letters came off relatively easy since they had reapplied them after my xpel and CQuartz application several weeks prior. My detailer was able to remove the glue and reapply CQuartz over that area. IMO, the car...

    Dark/Black Chrome on Chrome trim

I had all my chrome vinyl wrapped in satin black (including door handles) and my rims powder coated. Only chrome left is the TESLA cut out on the back. Windows tinted with 3M crystalline 40%. I get a lot of compliments on the color scheme.

    Sun Roof Not Opening

I have found that hitting the close button first, which then outlines the sunroof with a dotted line, registers/resets the sunroof with the touch screen and the buttons work. In the past I would just slide the slider and it didn't seem to register with the sunroof mechanism.

75 price cut and 60 upgrade follows!!

I just called them. They said with the massive amounts of people purchasing it, it may take until tomorrow. If I don't see it in the morning I will stop by the service center so they can push it manually.

75 price cut and 60 upgrade follows!!

I purchased the 75 upgrade this morning but have yet to receive it. I'm wondering if my wifi isn't strong enough? I parked in the driveway where the wifi signal is stronger but still no upgrade. Any suggestions? They took my money fast enough!

75 price cut and 60 upgrade follows!!

I couldn't help myself either. Just purchased the upgrade and I plan to de-badge my car so no need for the 75 badge!

    chrome delete: matte vs satin

Satin black powder coat rims with satin black vinyl wrap on all chrome accents on my Midnight Silver 2017 refresh. 3M Crystalline 40% on side windows and Color Stable 35% on rear window. Xpel wrap and CQuartz. The color combo is sleek and I get so many compliments.

    New Evannex cubby compartment?

I ordered the same tray and can add my satisfaction with this tray as an option. It looks like it belongs there and is well made. When pulling out the tray, it's a little flimsy but does the job of staying in place closed or open.

    Newbie here

Agree with Elite finishing! I also got my car xpel wrapped and tinted by Auto Armour and rims and chrome blacked out by SD Wrap. They all work together in the same shop. My car looks amazing. I highly recommend them!

They are different. See my previous post on this thread. Xpel wrap is a thin clear film, otherwise known as clearbra, that gets installed over key areas prone to dings, scratches, etc (i.e. Front end, hood). Ceramic pro is a brand of ceramic coating that gets applied over your entire car. It's...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

The xpel wrap provides paint protection with a thin clear film. I had it put on my front end, front hood, rockers and doors to protect from chips, scratches, etc. The ceramic coating will go over the entire car and make it virtually impossible to see the difference between the areas that are...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Totally agree about the doors. My bmw had heavy doors since it was a two door hardtop convertible, so I was used to closing it firmly. Even so, I've had to re-close the door a few times with the tesla. I had two days of bliss and am now driving our "mountain" SUV (3rd vehicle we keep to go to...
