German Court Orders Tesla to Stop Clearing Land at New Factory Site

I'm a cynic. I wonder who is really behind this and stoking the fire?

Model 3 battery drain / range loss while sitting ?

You may wish to calculate what the daily cost of electricity is to maintain a (trickle) charge on a fully charged EV battery when it is plugging into a 15 amp 120V residential circuit. It is probably pennies a day. Present this to a condo association and they should find it to be an...

    Anyone get autopark to work?

I did a test drive at Tesla in Buena Park CA a few weeks ago. I drove around for about 45 minutes. On the freeway and on local streets. I did self park on a neighborhood street (parallel), got close to the parked car on the street and the M3 performed perfectly. This was a real WOW! Then we...

Just go online to GEICO.com. You can configure your insurance requirement and get an immediate quote without a VIN. I did it here in California.

    Tire fail!

In my previous life I managed tire stores for Goodyear and Firestone. Nails, screws and glass penetrating tires (along with many other objects that penetrate tires) are considered road hazards. Road Hazards are specifically not covered by any warranty and you typically will need to replace the...

There are several types of the Maxi-Cure. Did you use this one: Bob Smith Industries BSI-135H Maxi-Cure Extra Thick Super Glue, 1 oz? How many of these 1 oz sized containers did you need to do all 4 wheels?

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

Sorry that I don't yet know the proper lingo. Yes when I indicated "use the charging cable that comes with the M3" I meant the "UMC2".

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

Again thank you all for this great conversation. Here is what we've decided to do: 1. No JuiceBox or Tesla HPWC is required. 2. We will just extend from the existing 10-30 in the laundry room to a new 10-30 plug in the garage. 3. The existing 10-30 in the laundry room will be disconnected...

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

Thank you all for your response and support. I've downloaded the Home Charging Installation guide (the plug installation details). I'll have the electrician install a 14-30 and this will do the stuff I need for the M3 I'm getting. Thanks again.

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

Yes a 14-30 on a 30 amp breaker is correct. According to TESLA this will charge 22 miles per hour which will do fine. This therefore means that I won't need either the HPWC or a JuiceBox.

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

Electrician doing the work. Actually extending wiring from existing socket (in laundry room, not in garage) to a new location in the garage, thus installing 14-50 so we can plug in the adapter.. Home was built in 1968 and the 10-30 was wired as would normally be back then with wire gauge to...

    Direct Charging v Juicebox

So I'm the new kid on the block and following this thread seems to be a bit confusing. Here's my question: I have a old unused Clothes Dryer outlet with a NEMA 10-30 socket that is being converted to a NEMA 14-50 socket. However we are not able to up the amps (because it requires changing the...
