Just ran into this exact problem today. Tesla service center refused to perform non-warranty work on my Model S because it has to do with aftermarket wheel/tires. Does Tesla Motors really expect us to drive in the snow on our 21" Summer performance tires? Of course I have winter tire/wheels on.

Do you have 21" or 22" wheels or extended valve caps? A lot of guys with larger wheels have similar problems, but usually only when reversing while sharply turned. I noticed that when it happens to me it seems like the valve cap is hitting the inside of the wheel well. I am on 22" wheels and...

I have the early NG front and rear seats and from what I can see, it is extremely ugly on its back side. It does not sit flush and you can see metal supports from the behind and a large gap.

Let me know when your front next gen seats start squeaking. Mine is constantly rubbing on the center console creating squeaks at every dip of the road. I took it to the service center and they said nothing can be done. :cursing:

I second the door handle or door handle related sound. It sounds exactly like the door handles retracting and extending. Maybe the motor that controls the handles are also used somewhere else and being triggered?

Add me to the list of people who was fooled into upgrading to the P85D thinking Autopilot were to be rolled out over the course of a few months. We're at the 9th month mark since it's official announcement and the coveted feature still is still not available.
