Charge port doesn't open with finger poke

I believe you can adjust the switch behind the door by turning it counter clockwise. This fixed it for me.

Advice on cutting it close on range

Agree with the others that this is cutting it too close. I recommend that you go to Mt. Vernon on the way there, fill 'er up, then go to your hotel in Carbondale. Keep your plans to top off with the 120V.

    The two-Tesla charging cable conundrum

I park the X on the right-hand-side of the garage. I positioned my 14-50 receptacle on the right-hand wall in the middle of the car close to the ceiling, so I can run the cord either along the ceiling to park head-in, or easily run along the wall to the front of the garage when backing in. After...

[POLL] Do you have $10K to lend yourself?

Agree with this... It should more than offset the higher monthly payment.

    Road Trip Tips

I suggest when you are at a Supercharger, let it charge until the NAV says you will have at least 20% remaining at your next charging stop. In warm weather you can get away with less, but my experience is that the guesstimator doesn't handle cold weather very well.

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

I looked at Bolts online this weekend, mostly through cars.com. 1) No way to easily distinguish which dealers include tax credit in listing price 2) No way to know if equipped for fast charging We have a long way to go.

    Supercharger - Green Bay, WI

Perhaps you could take the ferry at Manitowoc? I see there is a supercharger near where you get off the boat in Ludington.

Model 3 AWD and the Fed tax credit

It seems that most projections have the $7500 credit ending in June 2018. My delivery estimator shows July 2018 as best case for AWD. So here is what I'm thinking of doing: Buy the RWD Model 3, probably with few or no options, in my Dec to Feb window. Trade it on AWD Model 3 when it becomes...

The reveal part 3 was a big disapointment

Does the Volt count? The 2012 was 40k base and power seats not available. GM insisted that power seats are very heavy. Perhaps they are not standard on Model 3 to tweak the range?

First Long Road Trip: Planning Question

I recently did Chicago to Minneapolis in an X60D with the fam. It took quite a while, but I got some great ideas to save time. The cold weather meant we were stuck in the car except when getting food or bathroom breaks. Getting food while charging actually wasted the most time since usually the...
