Given that the Model X is only $5k more than an similarly optioned Model S, and it has a bit more to it than just the Falcons... Well for starters if you get the most base model possible its still going to be $40,000 after tax, title, license, and delivery. No way to escape those so the "real" base price is $40k. Full Rebate will be long gone after the first wave of employees, current owners, and high optioned builds are...

Yeah, given that I figured even the base model is out of my price range im half inclined to "go dark" and just block everything out until the CPOs start showing up... But we both know that won't happen :-)

Something to remember is Tax, Title, License, and delivery fee on the car. You actually have to price it around $39k to end up at $45k (If you are buying in California, or another state with higher sales tax). The destination fee is currently $1,100 on the S/X, and the TTL is $4000 on a $40k...

So true... Just wait until we start seeing Mules out and about. The ENDLESS complaints about the falcon wing doors not lining up on the mules was fun. I can only imagine what we will find to complain about the 3 before it even comes out... Maybe the nose cone will be it ;-)
