Tri motor and single motor have swapped production times

So when I first hear that the tri-motor was going to take so long to arrive I was puzzled. There is some rumor that the tri-motor drivetrain is the same as what will eventually be in the next gen model S which launches in late 2020. I think this new timeline makes some sense given they are the...

Made a couple small changes to the Cybertruck. Thoughts?

I don't think you have any credibility to say that. Unless you have access to the CAD data that is... This truck will have the greatest towing capacity of any "unibody"/exoskeleton truck ever. That's gonna need some serious strength.

    S3XY P? Doesn't sound like the best time....:p:D

Gauging Interest: Model S Front Caliper Upgrade Kit

I can't figure out how to quote from other threads, but please look at the following link: Vendor - Mountain Pass Performance Intro - Updates @MountainPass seems to not agree with this method of brake upgrade. For those who have installed MS rotors on your 3 how did the ABS react?

Electric Pickup Roundup: Musk Says Tesla Truck 'Not Like Anything Else'

Not saying that you're wrong, its just that it would be SOOOOO EASY to bolt up some fake pipes to fool everyone. If I was on the development team that's the first thing I would do!

"The S and X are better cars than the Model 3" - Elon

This is exactly the opposite. The MS and M3 share very similar front motors, but the rear motor on the M3 is a completely different classification. It is more advanced in that it is a completely new architecture for an EV application and it is significantly more efficient than BOTH the small and...

Additional Range in a new LR RWD Model 3?

I've never understood this argument. There are so many instances where a optioned up cheap car can be faster/ more luxurious or whatever than a base high end model. you might be right, I honestly don't know, but I think there are many more reasons to want one over the other than just range.

Additional Range in a new LR RWD Model 3?

I just hope they'll be more honest about this going forward. making the cars look like they all got the same range ended up being more confusing for owners than just explaining there's a slight range hit for AWD

Additional Range in a new LR RWD Model 3?

@YusufT You're saying the Wh/Mi internal calculation would change correct? That's my guess is all they're doing. I highly doubt they're doing this, but maybe they could reduce the "anti-brick" buffer a bit?

    The GREAT Gamble: Online Sales

I agree with this. To buy a car is a difficult process. Insurance and a loan would all have to be lined up. That means my credit takes a hit too! also, what about trade ins? If I give them my old car are they gonna keep it on their lot till the trial period is over? This is a lot of effort...

    Ohio Proposed EV Ownership Fee

@Knightshade I agree with your position however, I've always believed 18 wheelers and dump trucks are the vehicles that should bare the weight of this more so than a sedan owner. I would like to see a tax structure based on vehicle weight and or mileage(since that is usually the factor in...

    Price Drop/Delivery Push

This is a classic case of how Teslas direct sales bites them in the a$$. Most auto companies don't advertise the actual price of the vehicle, they advertise MSRP and then use hidden rebates to adjust based on demand. It helps hide the fact that the cost of the car over a year is all over the...

Hey Tesla, where's my $1000 worth of white paint?

I think you guys should take this seriously and add it to your pre-delivery inspection list :p

[Updated] Model 3 CCS / CHAdeMO adapter

Please correct me if I'm wrong (I don't want to spread misinformation), but doesn't the CCS standard prohibit the use of adapters? I've read and heard this, but I've never dug into the documentation myself.

This made me laugh at yesterday's conference call

I would have to agree! Though I think his point was more that an EV has this strong of a desire. The high desire of a quality EV has been completely ignored by most auto manufacturers.
