Driving to French Alps - winter tyres AND chains?

Hi all Looking for thoughts on winter tyres/chains for driving to the French Alps this winter. I'm aware that French legislation requires either winter tyres or chains. I have just put on a set of full winters on the MY LR (Michelin Pilot Alpin). Wondering if I need chains too or whether the...

Driving through Europe in a UK car

P Totally agree. I would often stop at SuC that I could've skipped in order to break up the drives a bit. Did all of France in one 13 hour stint with maybe 4 or 5 quick charge stops. Barely felt it at all. Spent probably 90% of the time on AP (no FSD). Can't wait to try it in my MYLR when it...

Driving through Europe in a UK car

From someone that drove from London to the Algarve twice since purchasing a Model 3 - quite perfectly. Even better than most highways in the UK in my opinion, given that the roads there are more straight and wide, require fewer constant lane changes and are kept to a generally higher standard...

    Model Y - Test Drive

For anyone trying to get a test drive slot.. I tried the link in this thread at 10pm last night and managed to snag a slot this afternoon at 5pm in Thorpe Park. Seems like they pop up randomly if there are cancellations, etc. So keep trying!

    Model Y UK Delivery

Finance terms appear to be identical to what we got from Blackhorse on our M3P. The car value and resulting monthly payments are exactly the same at least on the PCP option. Not bad..

What's Tesla beef with travelling North?

Can anyone share the codes for Newport Pagnell access barrier please? DM would be appreciated. I see tesla drivers using it regularly whenever I visit on my way south. Aware of the legal status Thanks!

    Tesla Trade In

Tesla offered us 16k for a 2013 Cayenne. Sold on autotrader one month later for 24,500. Tesla just use BCA which give much worse prices than even WBAC. Tesla do nothing with the trade in except for handing it directly to BCA who sell at auction and give Tesla the money. The Tesla sales guy in...

    AP lane position

Just to add, this behaviour has been consistent for me through all software releases since mid 2020

    AP lane position

I'm glad its not just me that is noticing this. I was going to write a post detailing the behaviour and see if its normal but apparently its part of the design of autopilot. I notice particularly on motorways the car biases itself slightly to the left of a lane in AP. I'm used to the feeling of...

    Tints

I had ours done by PP Protect in Derbyshire - they have done over 100 Tesla's including loads of model 3's, so they are specialists at doing the Roof/Back glass Went with 18% on rear windows and all of the roof/back glass 50% up front. Looks fantastic, particularly set against the white paint...

Tyre pressure stability (air, nitrogen, temperature etc)

Just an observation, but we took our brand new M3P to Portugal for a month in August. Left the UK at around 43PSI and got low pressure warnings with 36psi in the tyres within 2 weeks of driving in 30c+ heat. Refilled and back in the UK now and pressures remain at 42psi.
