New Powerwall Advanced Options [Toggles for charging from and discharging to grid from powerwalls]

ADVANCE OPTIONS just showed up for me this morning. However, under Grid Charging it says "Grid Charging Restricted This is due to utility or regional limitations, and is configured by your installer."

    SPAN - Smart Electrical Panel

Are you having it installed through SPAN? When I reached out they said they only had 3rd party installers. At least in my area.

    Inverter Shutting Down

Were you able to install the update own your own?

    Inverter Shutting Down

Update: I finally got someone from Tesla to come back out. They had previously disconnected my MCIs as a temporary fix and claimed a firmware update was going to arrive shortly and they would come back and reinstall my MCIs. That was almost 2 years ago. I gave the new tech the rundown and he...

    SPAN - Smart Electrical Panel

We are about to start a remodel and I'm planning on installing a SPAN. It was their new car charger that put me over the edge. I don't drive a Tesla so it will be nice to be able to control how it charges my car in grid down situations. I also only have a 100 amp service and it will be cheaper...

PG&E TOU rate plan will not allow me to change plan?

Call them. They said it was because I had a powerwall installed he had to do it over the phone. Wasn't an issue to switch plans over the phone.

    Inverter Shutting Down

The only way I know to upgrade the firmware is to call Tesla and have them come out and do it. It does seem like you should be able to upgrade via bluetooth and the M Professional app but I've never been able to make it work.

    Inverter Reserting?

    Which inverter do you have?

Fill Powerwalls first, Tesla EV second, extra to grid third?

I've been watching these Zappi chargers in the UK for a while now. I think they could do what you'd like. https://myenergi.com/product/zappi/ I think they've got their own CT clamps and they look for excess flow and when they see that they adjust your charge rate. So in theory if the CTs where...

    Inverter Shutting Down

Do you have panels or solar roof? Just wondering. I think it's exclusively a panel problem but I don't have enough data yet. Regardless, please call them and tell them to fix it ASAP. I've been dealing with this for over a year now. I can't believe a firmware fix is actually in the works. The...

Delta M-4, String drops out to zero for 2 hrs ? [delta inverter issues]

There are definitely others that have this same problem but it doesn't seem to affect all Delta M series w/ MCIs installed. I've seen posts on other forums about it and someone even posted a screenshot from Tesla stating they know about the problem and are waiting for a fix. I think what's...

Delta M-4, String drops out to zero for 2 hrs ? [delta inverter issues]

Mine is showing that I have the latest firmware in the app. 3.1.7, 1.5.8, 1.5.1 I wonder if that 1.5.11 will fix my MCI issue. Do you have panels or solar roof?

Delta M-4, String drops out to zero for 2 hrs ? [delta inverter issues]

Yeah, if I had known more about this all during the install I would have had them run two seperate strings. It would help my production a ton I think because of some evening shading on one of the groups of panels.

Delta M-4, String drops out to zero for 2 hrs ? [delta inverter issues]

No picture of the jumpers but from what I've gathered is that the jumpers are used to split a single string between the two MPPTs. If you login with the app you'll be able to see that both PV1 and PV2 should have the same values when the solar is producing. Without the jumpers only PV1 would...

Any way to keep Powerwalls from charging without turning off their breakers?

Maybe it's not working correctly for you because you've been flipping your breakers on and off each day. Try just leaving it in balanced mode for a week and see what happens. If it still draws from the grid during peak you've got a problem with your system and should contact support.
